Hence, they themselves formed due to all the crimes, they were not the perpetrators of those crimes (future factions that formed Northern Alliance), but the response to them.

he had no where to flee. russia wanted to be rid of the afghan situation, europe or the US wouldnt take him in. even when kabul was being destroyed, he was comfy in his UN safe house. if he knew what was coming to him, he would of piggybacked on massoud, non muslims like him fear death.

I also understand Haris’s personal experience indeed sad I also know a close family member from Malangzai clan living in Canada. Whose two sons were taken by communists and taken to Sar-e-Pol jail. The reason for their hijacking was simply and Khad told his father that his educated sons are simply offered a seat in government so they have appointment. One week passed their father in search came to Qala-e-Now (Badghiz) where a local Khad commander in charge was his cousin. Off course the father handed his two sons to Communist secret police never thought they going to kill them right away so he trusted despite his sons said they were in trouble because they declined to join the Communist military and gathered some 200 students against the communist agenda. So a week passed after investigation by his cousin in Khad they found his sons bodies dumbed as far as in Maimana along with 15 other youngers. So he brought the death bodies and together with whole Qwam joined Ghulamala Malakhel a Pashtun who welcomed Dostum in the Mujahideen function as he decided to fight against Dr. Najeeb.
Remember Pashtuns once dominated northern Jowzjan well this was before Dostom took over Russian military and rise to power. As I remember Russian facts showing Jowzjan was 45% Pashtu speakers and some sources said 50% but today Jowzjan is only 15% or maximum 20% Pashtu speakers but not more, because 110,000 Pashtuns from Jowzjan were forced to leave by the Dostum in 1990s. This was to punish those in opposition that formed from former local Pashtun allies of the north who alone with Dostum joined with Hekmatyar and stayed with Hekmatyar when dostum decided to split from this unity. This 110,000 from Jowzjan obviously means a huge drop in Pashtu speaking percentage. Because currently the Pashtun land owned by rich Gas owner Dostum and party of ‘National Islamic Movement of Afghanistan’. Many Pashtuns who refuged to Northern Afghanistan and Kabul without homes are now seeking Karzai to solve this problem unfortunately the case of many Pashtu land owner are mocked at this time since Karzai himself is owned by rich Dostum. There are currently 900,000 cases filled by Pashtun landowner returning from Pakistan to northern Afghanistan both big and small that their land has been taken from them before Taliban and they want their land back.
I remember reading an news article from 2004 it was sad which said that 35,000 cases filled from 2002-2003 to the Government claim that Pashtun land was taken from them by the Dostum held power in Balkh and that Government of Karzai rejected their claims so 8,000 land Pashtun land owner came to Norwegian Refugee Council. Later when the cases was re brought forward to Government Mohammad Yunus, the mayor of Mazar-e-Sharif, promised that only small lands like Houses that make up 40 percent of the claim previously redistributed by the local Uzbek and NA commanders will be given back to the Pashtun and that means 60% of the cases are declined maybe because their land were too big and complex so however to solve their problem he said he would approve more than 20,000 new houses inside Mazar-e-Sharif to seek to resettlement of 20,000 Pashtun families to start a new life. So one of many of their cases are not solved and Government openly admits that “right now is not the time to” battle with militia commanders LOL why not just simply say you are so weak against Dostum Mr. Karzai.

Going back to the topic Dostum is well known to have killed millions he is alive and a national hero, as well as others like him who are either death being called “Shaheed” or if Alive then they are called “National Hero”.
If Najeeb was alive I am 100% sure today Afghanistan would have been way different. Because at old times no-one liked only few who understood the fact that 70% of Afghanistan at that time 1970s were illiterate and so from communist sociology for stupid people with weapon only weapon is an answer. However young Najeeb was brainwashed by Russians despite being Afghan he did not realized for a long time that in such Communist or empirical ideology with not fit in the Afghan tribal spectrum. Another reason why Russians failed and Americans learning from Russians are trying as best not to give the same expression of Russians in the tribal society.
Yes Najeeb was leader of Khad yes he might of order one or two or as ScimitarXEdge suggested over 100,000 Whatever but the fact that I as well as Niazi, DaZahroJaam, Digital Malang and KingKhan would agree that situation was different. Today Karzai can also be prosecuted for ordering many wars in the villages which ended with thousands of death. And after all as Niazi said compared to other “Mujahedins” this Najeeb is like an angel true, after all as DaZahroJaam pointed out such talented, educated and country loving Afghan nationalist will never be found again in the next 100 years. He was aiming for what we wanted but Russians as well as the world tricked him, and so he failed.

Another personal reason for my love that increased over time was his predictions. Be it if Taliban, Dostum, NA, ISI, or CIA. Whatever it was he was quite right on almost everything. What he said came true during the time he lived in prison as well as after his death, specially what will happen to main cities and the political break down of blood trusty warlords. He was blocked by Dostum and arrasted by the time Taliban came ISI influnce was way too strong and fresh so the stupid Taliban as they were at that time killed him. Imagine the head of Khad filled with info that leads to many lecks and damage to future plans of Pakistan! Well done Pakistan.

For those who have no reason to love him is yet another reason. He was the enemy of Pakistan. After all Pakistan is our number one enemy and for that reason the philosophy of “The enemy of my enemy is my best friend” this is adapted by many cases. Because hate for Pakistan exists regardless what and he was enemy of Pakistan therefore even if he was killer of 1 billion people I would still support him because he was strong and an enemy of my enemy so for me he was a friend. The policy is not something new, Pakistan uses this policy since 1947 and it was adapted regardless whatsoever. However when it came to India and Pakistan conflict during Zahir Shah all of us said we support India. Afghan as we are so naïve not to realize that Pakistan is our enemy regardless what happens. So now if the war between India and Pakistan takes place for those hard-core muslims who wants to justify for Islam=Pakistan LOL since we afghans are educated in this generation that India has more muslims than Pakistan, so we would have to support India? Right! And if any argument over justifying Jehad Against India why not first fight for freedom of Palestinians after all second most holy place is under occupation of some small country why not lunch jehad against Israel an allie of Pakistan? Hell to those who wants to bring the argument of Islam into this, Pakistan is long a slave of Kafirs itself, but I am sure its destruction by the well of Allah will be from India and we as Muslim must do what is right set back and enjoy as the Pakistanis did when Russia invaded or lunch Jehad on India well again going back to argument of Jewish occupation to the west so our actions should be justified.
