    Idiot. From wikipedia:

"Guerrilla warfare is a form of irregular warfare and refers to conflicts in which a small group of combatants including, but not limited to, armed civilians (or "irregulars") use military tactics, such as ambushes, sabotage, raids, the element of surprise, and extraordinary mobility to harass a larger and less-mobile traditional army, or strike a vulnerable target, and withdraw almost immediately."

After Vietnam, the War College devised many ways to combat Guerilla (coward) warfare, starvation being the most likely to succeed (I'm sure.)

ok so this is stuff special forces and NAVY seals do as well; not to mention that The U.S. employed the Northern Alliance and use CIA to collaborate with militias not just in Afghanistan but South America.

but just as you so willfully admit American soldiers are thus "cowards"

Wrong, and who are you to state anything? You're not even one of the people...you are on the outside looking in.

Special Forces and Navy Seals go in directly to quickly kill. They aren't people that can play the "civilian" card so you can say "civilians" died. They are trained killers...and a lot of money says they are trained to kill terrorists specifically.

The militias collaborated with are hired mercanaries. They all want the Taliban gone...so yea...they accepted our offers and fight against the Taliban and more the Haqqani.

Which is perfectly fine according to the NAVY SEAL Strategy; America is planning on using this tactic in Iran

Hersh: There was a dozen ideas proffered about how to trigger a war. The one that interested me the most was why don't we build -- we in our shipyard -- build four or five boats that look like Iranian PT boats. Put Navy seals on them with a lot of arms. And next time one of our boats goes to the Straits of Hormuz, start a shoot-up.

            Don't get me wrong...

I don't like those clean shaved suited college grad farsiwan that think they are the brains of "NA" any more than you do.

We've already seen them getting caught with cash bags on their way to their villas in Dubai. It is a fact that these types of people are original sell outs.

Also ... you can keep dreaming about US pulling out of Afghanistan. Face the reality son...they are there to stay and wage more wars. They are setting up the stage for something much bigger. They are just getting warmed up in Pakistan and slowly pushing for Iran... what makes you think they'll just turn tail and go back home? This has been the longest war the US has been engaged in, in it's history...what are the signs that it will leave this year or the next? Wake up and smell the opium buddy...

p.s why don't you ask nokia, esapxai, manzerah, luffy and the rest if they like your troll tactics so far?
              you have been exposed.

It was Ahmad Shaw Massod who started and prolonged the civil war. The Taliban were bringing peace to a land where crime, murder, rape, and drug dealing were rampant brought by fighting factions such as NA. The Taliban crushed crime. The Taliban are returning to power in many areas (and still control majority of Afghanistan) and are now going to be internationally recognized

, The US-NATO have been defeated by their own admission. The withdrawal is real, so real, that they are seeking to speak with Omar Hotak, the person they previously said they would not talk to.
As the foreigners leave, that joke of an Afghan government will be thrown into the dustbins of history. Keep wishing. Rumor has it Bismilah is already shipping things out of Afghanistan. He is running, and leaving with the foreigners.

The war is coming to a close.

The reason he calls guerilla tactics cowardly is because American Soldiers usually end up suffering brutal humilation because of them.
You are correct. The Afghan resistence actually can match NATO forces since it is very difficult to use heavy weapons such as tanks in the rough terrain of Afghanistan. The only advantage NATO forces have against the Afghan resistance is the use of Air power. With out Air power NATO forces will have a very difficult time holding ground.

The Soviets had a huge disadvantage against the Afghan resistance once the Stinger missile were introduced to the battle. The Stinger missiles were introduced in 1984 and that is the exact same year when Soviet generals were advising the Kremlin that the Afghan war has been lost and is unwinnable because their Air power advantage was gone.

Guerrilla warfare is utilized against an enemy with bigger firepower, but the strategy of eliminating the enemies advantage of bigger firepower is to fight close range making the enemy fear to use its bigger firepower since it would also destroy them. The Guerrilla warriors objective is not to hold ground but to make the war expensive for the enemy, to demoralize the enemy, to make the enemy sick and tired of fighting its adversary that will not disappear. The winner is one with the most patients.

General George Washington used Guerrilla warfare tactics against British forces, most Americans would find it offensive if he is labeled a coward as MDresden is suggesting. It would be incorrect to call Guerrilla warriors cowards because it would be irrational to fight head on against an enemy that is 1000 times stronger than you. The correct term would be rational and intelligent.

That video of Khatami doesn't work that well because he was no good.
Just a bland, middle of the road guy with no fire, no backbone.

He was trying to be as friendly as possible to the US.

He WAS voted out of power [thank God] -

The current govt is much more pragmatic and realizes that

it's best to be working together with the Taliban.
They would never make statements like Khatami did.
He was a loser...I hope he never makes a political comeback.

Meanwhile I was just looking around youtube and saw this video
which emphasizes some of the same points as well about
WHICH side is REALLY the evidoer in this war theater :

Spot on. Of course this is the case. Dresden is not admitting it but basically here is the breakdown of his world view:

He is killing Taliban alone... or members of the haqqani insurgency. These are the so called "baddies."

Yet, if you ask him, he wont define what constitutes a Talib. Is it simply an equivalent term for a religious zealot? Does it encompass the guy who is generally more cultural and is pissed because NATO killed his cousin? Take for example this story of just such a case:

                    http://freedomsyndicate.com/fair0000/times0045.html

So what this boils down to by logic: any one that shoots at an American soldier for any reason is a "baddie" and thus a Talib.

In order to make himself feel better about killing people, he has constructed an alternate reality where he is "all good" and they are "all bad." He has to do this otherwise he will have to admit he is an aggressor and a murderer.

Note, this is exactly why he refused and continues to refuse to answer why Mr. Bin Ladin and others are mad at the US government in the first place.

The bottom line of all of it though, is that regardless of whether Dresden accepts or rejects Islam... whatever higher power he ascribes to will question him regarding why he was so foolish in abandoning the golden rule of doing onto others as you would have done onto you.

He has to contend with why Dr. Paul, a former flight surgeon, can grasp the fact that they "hate us" for our actions overseas in their nations.

So when he faces God, or whatever higher power he believes in his only excuse will be: "it was the mission to kill."

Can you believe that? That he accuses these folks, the Taliban, of blind zealotry, but he fails to understand that blind zealotry is exactly what he executes day in and day out... but his God's name is Petreus...

Dresden deserves pity because he has lost both here and in the hereafter.

so basically you are predicting that this year the US will withdraw. Karzai will flee. The Taliban will march into Kabul and take over the whole country...and everything will be back to what it was before 2001...
