Parchamis hated Daud Khan. Majority (80%) of Parcham were non-Pashtuns but the top leaders were Pashtuns. Daud Khan represented the same old feudal state and structures that made of Afghanistan a Banana Republic. Daud Khan had his own ethnical agenda (Pashtunistan issue f.ex.) and he was a thorn to Parchamis. When P and K cooperated they used K to kill him and his family.

How so when it were Pashtuns who were the most revolutionary and against the system right from beginning. Taraki was the father of all commies. Parchamis were little sissies. Khalqis were smart enough not to be used by Parchamis and after overthrowing Daud they purged the Parchamis or exiled most of them. Daud Khan himself acted too heavy-handed against the capable Khalqis. If it wasn't for Ruski comrades and friends and their constant request not only one Parchami would have been left behind. Thick mutached Khalqis used to make woose Parchamis sing like kanary. Both Khalqis and Parchamis were doomed and that is what happened.
