Ibn Sina´s mother was jewish. His father was a Tajik. However, it does not matter what Tajiks are or not. Today, they are proud beeing Persian-speakers, beeing part of that great civilisation nationalists call as Khorasan and beeing proud of their national sons such as Ibn Sina. Unfortunately, as proud as our Pashtun brothers and sisters are, they had never such personalities among themself. One should requestion the pride of Pashtuns, seriously. Beeing Turk or not does also not matter. They are human-beeing and the most beautiful people in entire Central Asia according to many anthropolgs. Today, they all identify themself as Tajik, no matter of Iranic or Turkic stock as you and Nick try claim (while scholars categorize Tajiks or their descandants (of ancient Tajiks or at least the people that lived in the regions that Tajiks today inhabit) as the real owner and the oldest inhabitent of the region) and beeing the most urban people among their neighbours. The only people who can and would falsify history would be some Ghilzai Pashtuns like Habibi who wrote a fake book called Puta Khazana or claim the old civilisation that existed before Afghanistan could get established as ''Afghan'' history and heritage. Now judge by yourself. Those people do not need to invent any history for themself. Pashtuns are confused about their identity and origin. Not Tajiks, Iranians, Kurds, Panjabis, Baluchs, Arabs .... That´s reality. Let them beeing proud and call themself Persians. They are part of that great civilisation. These people took the culture, civilisation and language of this great civiliusation even to Bengal and south-eastern Europe, tough beeing as you claim ''Turko-Mongols''. Human is human. Only the valuable benefits counts, not race. But unfortunately, these worl is sick because of racists, fascists and other Nazi-like people who are just depressive and jealous about others while knowing that one self can not offer anything. No need to get all emotional! Tajiks are non-entity and as such cannot be proud of anything autonomous. There does not exist an ethnic group of being Tajik and nor does the fantastic Khar Aw Assan (donkey and horses). Both are muddled up history fakeries. Ibne Sina as the name says is of Jewish origin. Pashtuns are not confused because they are Pashtun/Paktins/Pakhtins and Afghans period. What is so confusing about that?

Present me any historic achievements by those who themselve refered to themselves as being Tajik/Tazis. Tajik was a derogatory term my friend. Tajiks are small groups of Turko-Mongols groups like Pamiris and Padarahis who have lost their language and have instead adopted Farsi/Persian.

Naveed Khan, you are a young man. I can understand your feelings but my suggestion is, never trust anyone from the east of Indus. These people lack dignity and self-respect and seldom have stood for such attributes. They can covert any noble cause be that patriotism or Islam or communism, etc. into a commercial endeavour.

You just need open your eyes, dear brother. No matter what Tajiks are. Today they are one nation. They live in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan. Every Persian-speaker in Afghanistan is known beeing a Tajik or Persians or whatever, except Hazaras. That´s all and you can´t change facts.

Instead of fighting with each other, various communities in the South-Central Asia (Afghanistan, Pakistan, other CA states probably) should find a way to resolve the political issues affecting their relations and a regional order/contract that would be to the benefit of all.

Helmad is Pashtun craddle and so is Farah and Helmad is an agricultural bascket. Herat city is Persianised but the overall province is 80% Durrani Pashtuns and speak Kandahari Pashtu. Both Herat and Farah are strategic trade and transit corridors.

How can that be? In Herat you won´t be able to find any Pashtuns speaking Pashtu. Only some Pashtuns in some isolated villages do. The Pashtuns population in Herat is lesser than 12% brother. Herat is not only a tajikficated city but also a Tajik province. Or call it a Farsiwan province.
