You guys saying Press Tv is Shia Propaganda.
Not really!
I have read them fairly carefully for a few years now, off and on.

My impression is that, outside of proud announcements of Imam Reza's Day festivities, or museum exhibitions related to the life an Imam,
they don't even mention Shia stuff.

In fact, I sense - I could be missing some subtleties here - the Islamic Republic is really wishing to create a solid bloc to counter the overbearing behavior of America and the West toward Iran, Turkey, etc. -
SO THEREFORE: they tone down any Shia references because they KNOW that will put off Sunnis in one second flat.

They are trying hard to achieve a unity of all Muslims and in some way it's the vital project without which any single effort cannot work.
As unknown said, the pan-Arab idea won't work.
It was tried back in the UAR - United Arab Republic with Syria and Egypt.
Saddam Hussein and the Baathists tried it for a few decades.
It never worked, never will.

It has to be pan-Islam, that's the only way.

So Iran has already gotten rejected by Arabs way early in the game, and has learned from their experience to minimize Shia anything.

I don't see it coming through the Press TV channel particularly.

Further, in terms of pure humanity, the interview I saw done with the family of an Iranian woman held in an American prison without any true basis apparently, was the most kind, warm and natural of any done up to this point that i happened to have seen.
I have been planning to post it but wasn't sure anyone would care.

I always wondered about the simultaneous translation drowning out
the original speaker. I may have remarked about that once, but I assumed it was to shield poor little Western ears from having to hear a foreign language they could not comprehend and would be turned off by. Americans do get quite irritated and have been known to shout "speak in English!" as though they were kings !

But what GYE said is the far deeper reason: so they can twist everything to suit their programme.

In sum, a truth-seeking observer almost feels it's useless to watch 95-99.7% of interviews and media programs !

Catya i agree with the most of what you said especially the last sentence
i also watch presstv and find programe with George Galloway to be a nice programe and the one with that britain convert lady.but if you look deeper their reporters from Pukhtunhwa and Afghanistan are shias ,not that it makes them bias but it doesnt reflect the population.
i once sent them a letter regarding reporting from AFG but have got no response.

because you know exactly what is being said and what is PRETENDED to have been said.
As well as many other contributions to flesh out these documentaries that
seem to be islands floating by themselves.
You put them into the proper context by pointing out which could be accurate and which parts are perhaps faked. Or for sure faked !

I tried to put comments on there myself and with their old system
only the first one went on.

But I got discouraged by the fact that I composed others, such as about
