the beheading video is very disturbing and wrong. the problem is that many of the victims simply take jobs as spies due to poverty alone.

there exist many taliban (primarily afghan) however who merely have the captured hold their ears, make tobah, and then they are free to go.

whatever they do however, people should have enough logic not to compare a civilian movement fighting a defensive war with national institutions who claim to be working in accordance with international humanitarian law.

there is no excuse or just explanation for the brutality and aggression on the part of the pakistani army, US/NATO/ANA.

those who fight an aggressive, brutal, and inhumane war on their own accord should expect no better from those who fight out of self-defense.

there was no such thing as beheadings or suicide bombings prior to 2001, when an illegal invasion and subsequent widespread oppression and viciousness became prevalent in the area, disturbing the former stability and peace.


thus, the blame should ultimately fall upon the parties responsible for provoking and engaging in a war waged in brutality and they should expect to be treated the way they have treated others.
