  • Recent Speculation that Taliban Are no Longer opposing girls education

Recently there has been speculation that Taliban are no longer opposing girl’s education. Quickly after the speculation was spread out Afghan female representatives in the parliament, women’s activists, Afghanistan’s media and the President appeared skeptical to such speculation to turn in to reality. In an interview with BBC an Afghan female parliament member from the Wardak province of Roshanak said that she strongly disagred the speculation regarding Taliban’s shift of policy towards girl’s education. She said that the Taliban have closed girl’s schools in six districts of Wardak province through intimidation, kidnapping and murder. According to TOLO TV, local authorities from Helmand province say 80% of schools are closed due to Taliban’s intimidation of students and their families. As the governor of Helmand said “families are afraid to let their children go to school because they have seen examples in the past of Taliban atrocities towards students including throwing acid on their faces. Recently Kandahar’s provincial director of education announced that 50000 enrolled students from last year have been deprived from education this year due to Taliban intimidation. In the link provided below, UNAMA’s daily news page documents the press release and you can read details of this news in Pashto on taand.com

No one better understands and remembers Taliban’s abusive and oppressive regime than the Afghans themselves. When the vast majority of Afghan’s vote no to the Taliban it should come as no surprise that a decade is not enough for an oppressed nation to forget the atrocities committed by Taliban particularly towards Afghan women. The dark era under the Taliban regime witnessed women imprisoned in their homes, denied access to basic health care and civil services, and kept from education by the Taliban who used an ignorant and distorted view of Islam to mask their ideology. Do not sacred Islamic traditions protect the rights of women and children? Islam does have specific provisions which define the rights of women in areas such as education, marriage, divorce, and property rights. The Taliban’s version of Islam neither matches holy Islamic scripture, nor has their ideology ever been supported by the world’s Islamic scholars. The deceitful world of extremists continues to unveil itself - from their arrogant fugitive leader Mullah Omar to the brutal extremist Al-Qaeda leader Osama. Yet there remains a small number of people who believe that Taliban were never against girls education.
I ‘m inviting our dear reader’s attention to the following links to make your own fair judgments. whether these hypocritical Taliban leaders will ever honor the very basic right of all humankind; access to education?

        Dear Sir,

You and Toramana continue to do a disservice to America and Americans. You should be ashamed of executing David "Lick the boots of Max Boot Israeili firster" Petreus and executing a propaganda blitz. However, you are not dealing with sheep here. I refer you to a recent article by a lady that hates the Taliban more than you and has little love lost for Pashtuns, named Malai Joya:

Here are her quotes to counter your propaganda:

"In fact, it's important to remember another document that Wikileaks exposed earlier this year: a CIA paper assessing western public opinion on the war that recommended using "testimonials by Afghan women" expressing fear about a Taliban takeover in the event of Nato pulling out. A Time cover story featuring the disfigured Bibi Aisha was a clear example of using the plight of women as war propaganda. The headline – "What happens if we leave Afghanistan" – could have, or should have, been "What happens while we are in Afghanistan", because crimes of mutilation, rape and murder against women are commonplace today.
Many warlords and commanders aligned with Nato and Karzai carry out their sexist, misogynist crimes with impunity. Time could, for example, have done a cover story condemning the law signed by Karzai in 2009 that legalised crimes against Shia women, or about the shocking levels of women committing suicide by self-immolation."

Here is the whole article for your and David's perusal:

        http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisf...ghanistan-gone

        http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.p...t=va&aid=18370

I am sure your next propaganda piece will discuss minority rights... we already got an answer to that:

        http://in.reuters.com/article/idINIndia-49826020100702

"Ironically the rise to power of the hardline Islamist Taliban marked an improvement in the lives of those who remained -- and some emigres even started to return.
'The Taliban did not suppress us -- they respected our religion and if we had any problem they would resolve it immediately, let alone delay it until the next day,' says Singh.
Some Afghan Hindus were baffled by Western outrage at one Taliban decree -- ordering them to wear a yellow tag to identify their religion -- saying in practical terms it spared their clean-shaven faces from the wrath of the Taliban religious police, who insisted Muslim Afghan men must grow beards."

Bottom line, it looks like your efforts have done little for Afghan women. In fact, the way you intervened, you set back the cause of Afghan women oh about, 100 years or so.

However, you and Toramana ought to keep at it, guaranteeing a devastating future of subservience for all Pashtuns.

As for girls education, Taliban were never against it in the first place. The condition was there had tpo be security in the country first, there will only be security once tjhe foreigners are out.

This info dates back all the way to pre-2000.
In my opinion you are not even a kind human being for on these very forums you justified the killing of Pashtun civilians in Momand agency in suicide bombing...Ok, you can go on living in a cave in Kandahar under Mullah Omar ...don't speak on behalf of other Pashtuns and Muslims...

Oh wrorra, dont you understand we are not illiterate? We can read and we can also completely discredit your world-view as we have countless times?

As an example. here is a great whistle blower answer on same of the shameless nontruth you have posted in the past regarding the young girl with her nose cut off:

"But The Nation, a progressive magazine, blew the whistle in an article entitled, “Afghan Woman Have Already Been Abandoned” (Aug. 12). Ann Jones, who recently returned from Afghanistan, said the woman on Time’s cover, Bibi Aisha, told her that she had been mutilated by her father-in-law as a punishment, and the Taliban had nothing to do with it. But to the CIA and, it seems, to Time, what happens to Afghan women is irrelevant, as long as these women’s sufferings can be exploited to provide backing for the war."

Sleep well brother, just know we are completely able to confound and retard your claims at every turn.

Cease the propaganda war and begin discussing truths. That suits your education level far more. You were not made to be a mouthpiece.

Oh, Abdali, when it serves your purpose you can copy paste from leftist sources and quote their articles...On other occasions you express such animosity towards commies...

We have seen the havoc Taleban wreaked on our part of the Pashtun Land first hand where they destryoed hundreds of girls schools...By the way Abdali, what substance are you made up of? ... I have never seen such glaring hypocrisy in the whole of my life that you show here in your views calling the brtethern back home occupied but preferring to live an occupied life in an infidel land under under an infidel system taking oath to its law etc. of your own volition...?

If the same standard of life suits you, why can it not suit brothers back home?

Answer the claims brother. You touted the progress for women. You need not deal with me... write Dr. Joya directly. Defend yourself against her position. Tis not me countering you, it is them. I have no shame in using leftist sources that deal a sound blow to your propaganda and logic.

Regarding rigid living. No hardly brother, I simply prefer that they have the right to self determination devoid of proxies fighting on their soil. I prefer that you go back and take up the gun and deal with Mullah Fazlullah as opposed to calling in Pakistani firepower to deal with what the reality is. The reality is that you, Afzal Khan Lala, and the Mianguls erected a feudalistic society. You then created the ripe conditions for Fazlullah to recruit and overthrow your hegemony (all in the name of uncodified Islam). Seeing that your heirarchy was in danger of the ultimate in top down to down top reversal, you called in the cavalary and killed your own. I prefer we arm you, arm them, and let you and them fight it out.

The same goes for Karzai Bibi over in our neck of the woods. We ought to arm him and air drop him and his brothers into Qandahar. Then let him, Omar Hotak, and others, free from proxies at their side, loose on eachother.

We the people shall sit back and await the victor...

better start training buddy. In about a decade your interventionalist policies are coming home to roost.

Toramana, relax. No one has censored what you have said, nor has anyone from the administration expressed distaste with your presence. Also, no one has 'threatened' to ban you. You are a welcomed member and I have no clue why for the past few weeks you are dancing around the 'ban' word. Take a deep breath, PF is your community and according to my records, you are perfectly in compliance with our rules and regulations. Der churt ma waha, oh khpal brain-cells ma wazhna.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Can't say thing for Afzal Khan Lala...But trust me I am not better than any middle or lower middle class Pashtun of Swat...(By the way they have not destroyed schools or forced other people not to send their daughters to schools,...Afzal Khan Lala himself and his sons are noble people and want progress of Pashtuns....).

Rest, as for lineage, I have raised myself far above these petty things...and will love to see other Pashtuns also get out of this and dissolve into a broader Pashtun identity...Imagine, what a happy day it would be Pashtuns from Kandahar and Swat coming togethor in higher cultural, civic, and institutional sense ...where the only bond of loyalty is shared culture, history, values, interest, and destiny,...not some tribal consciousness...
