We also need a Armed Immortal like class within our system that protects our interests and people from external and internal threats. I suggest a system similar to that of Mossad and the state of Israel whereby Pashtuns are united as one and solely Pashtuns and protected at all costs and no live is spared without justice.

    Kind Regards

I have no exact, specific suggestion, but...

        Education, education, and education!

More schools, colleges and maybe universities should be built and made more available in the masses to Afghanistan.

Our money should be invested in these, as well as shelters, hospitals, and clinics etc. We should *at least* fund them.

        InshAllah!

I'm not so into a political movement, I have lost hope for one which would rightfully lead the country. However, if the future generations are educated properly and well enough, they will be able to make the country advance for the better.

You dont need to come up with a political idea. It can be any idea which you think can make a positive change in the future of Afghans. However you need to have faith in your idea that it has the potential to bring a positive change.

And design a curriculum that is based on critical thinking that incorporates technology - that would also require some teacher training/education reform.

Something like the One Laptop Per Child programme.

Oh ... and I know it sounds idealistic ... but have a "peace" programme of study in the curriculum ... again this can be done incorporating technology.

George Velatsianos (teaches at the University of Texas) has written some papers on using technology to foster peace.

... musings from a distance ...: Technology and Peace

It is about Afghans but as Afghans have a state too called Afghanistan therefore the change in the future of Afghans will imply a change in the future of Afghanistan.

                      Hope it is clear.

My idea is to take full advantage of the media & technology to improve ourselves & our image in the international community. Terrorists and taliban effectively use the internet to recruit, indoctrinate many and solicit funds. Everyday our Pashtun youth are making Pashto song videos but we could be making videos to educate ourselves & others. There are hundreds of documentaries on the taliban but where are the documentaries showing typical Pashtuns or the suffering many Pashtuns have endured because of war & terrorism? Why do we LET ourselves suffer with this bad image? Just as India has started that program of $100 laptops I think Afghans also need that kind of program especially so that girls/children even in remote areas can have access to a quality education. I read about one such program by Americans http://www.olpc.af/ but I am not sure how it is progressing and I think it would be better if it was ran & implemented by Afghans/Pashtuns and not foreigners for obvious reasons.

We have now some ideas from our members. Which idea do you guys think is practical, feasible and good for the future of Afghans? You may ask questions from the members who have proposed their ideas.

I have the most brilliant & practical idea change future of afghanistan, all afghans living in west should pack their luggages and return back to their motherland and permenantly settle there. The brain drainage in afghanistan cant be cured with big talks while your butts rested comfortably in the west.

Dear brains, Dry afghanistan is waiting for you.
