Business is done when a sale occurs. If an Israeli comes up to me and says "hello" I can return the greeting. Malignant Rabbis used to have an audience with the Prophet even when the Rabbis were known to ask purposefully deceptive questions.

If the greeting is followed by his business pitch, I can listen and then tune out. Similarly, for whatever reason, even before 9/11; as close to it as 07/01 - The Taliban stopped their interaction.

For instance, is Vietnam, now dealing with Panetta as the winner of the Vietnam war a hypocritical move?

    What about Dheim's Vietnam?

Why is it that Dheim's Vietnam was seen as 'selling out'???

The difference lies in autonomous nations being able to control the deal from their own end.

A nation occupied by hundreds of countries and with an army being supplied by occupiers, signing on a dotted line, is hardly comparable to a government deemed autonomous.

For that matter, was Hudaybiah also a bad move then? A situation in which Omar felt strongly that the Prophet had given too much to the enemy?

A truly autonomous power, like the US post revolution, dealing with Britain, or the US nixing Dubai port deals - can walk out whenever it wants.

Instead, as we see in the nonautonomous Iraqi nation - the semblence of "not signing on the dotted line" can be made but in reality that decision meant really next to nothing.

He says nothing when pakistanis indirectly offense and intervene in afghanistan.
I noticed that this hypocrite is very racist against hindus, he should know that India is a Secular country , there are 150,000,000 muslims in india.

If India invests in afghanistan, it's for the interests of the afghans, pakistan will never invest in afghanistan like that, they only want to dominating afghanistan
Because we all know that a Powerful afghanistan, is not good for pakistan
The enemy of our enemy is our friend
Lets not play coy. Pakistan is no harbinger or savior of Muslims, willing to kill their own, but India and its BJP party's own existence and success hardly shows that Indian Muslims are treated as well as American Muslims are. The Babari Masjid incident high lights the disparity clearly.

I guess what I am saying is - do it autonomously when you control your own destiny.

Remember, Pakistan, despite its shrill cries will do whatever it wants to. In fact if India today decided to resolve the kashmir issue and open up complete booming bilateral economic ties - all who opposed this would be crushed by the Pakistani elite if they thought it was good for them.

So its not the issue with Indian trade - its the naivete of not being able to enforce security, standards, and fiat.

Whatever you guys think of Shadow, he is not a dummy. You are well read Randolph, you know full well about what China, America, India and some others are doing in the third world nations. Some of those parties are more quiet. But often an elite componnet benefits, the price of the raw goods (what Shadow calls diamonds) are deflated to the cost of teh harvesting power.

And as I noted, Mossadegh's history proves clearly that when these powers get involved (e.g. Britain in Iran to harvest oil) if they are then told to hit the road for the benefit of the people of said nation - that nation will be subject to a coup.

Let's create a thread about that, we are off-topic
There are fools everywhere, even in india
We can talk about the hindu and christian minorities in pakistan
Or how non-muslims are treated in muslim countries

          We are off-topic

There is less poverty since 20 years , but of course, we need to reduce it
It's complicate to reduce poverty in a country of 1,1 billion people

And why are you saying " you "
I'm not the prime minister of india
Go send a letter to the congress party, to stop the investments in afghanistan and reduce the poverty in india .

that too wouldnt mean you interfere in our internal and external politics or try to use our country as a launching pad.
I don't know the intentions of my government,

But personally , i hope that afghanistan will be a better country and afghans will prosper
I really wish that. Afghanistan should be a great country
But the pakistanis don't want that, unfortunately

why do you pretend to represent afghanistan when you live in holland? go and live there before playing as it's spokesman.

and how was the taliban a legitimate government? i thought they were a dictatorship controlling by force and stupidity. just what you seem to be envisioning for afghanistan in the future.

how should afghanistan progress from here on in?

you are constant, anti anti anti, but never have any suggestions for solutions.
look how you freaked out when revo had a well thought out presidential aim, because he showed up your talib gangbangers, ineptitude.

Its funny how all the peopel who are against India are Pakis themselfs, the paki goverment have really brainwashed them good. Those peopel never lived in Afghanistan but they like to make damnds on behalf of it. LOL
And by the way investing in other countries can also reduce poverty in your own country, so stop talkings bull**** about how many poor are in India, the goverment is doing what it can, they are not sitting and doing nothing like you and your beloved Paki goverment.

India's ties to the USSR were overt and not hidden ones and as Verma notes, the Indian military heirarchy's own view of Central asia is that hard power follows soft power.

I previously did respect your all parties are guilty stance as it was much more autonomous.

Based on this brand of logic then, the US is also justified with its presence and was justified in its presence per the USSR interference patterns?

Even India and Afghanistan's involvement with the Soviets was a response to America's hegemonic apparatus favoring Pakistan, You can't look at the matter so one sidedly, Back then america has it in for India and was even willing to support Pakistan against India, and maybe tried except it may have invited more direct Soviet confrontation. These days the landscape has changed

India has a space program, Pakistan doesn't. .....I know that may seem like I am touting some very elitist status symbol. But India who once had a population of starving peasants now can travel to space. They're doing something right, and Afghanistan needs to find out what that is. Pakistan ...well they'll forever remain a society of Mujra Dancers and Mullahs who visit brothrels when the Jum'ah Khutbah is over .....nothing really to learn from that.

didn't the taliban just recently say this?

"No doubt that India is a significant country in the region, but is also worth mentioning that they have full information about Afghanistan because they know each other very well in the long history," the Taliban said.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
