the streets and buildings look so old and depressing that if i were to show you pictures of stores or markets in kabul and the capital city of india, you won't believe that kabul is the city that has suffered from war all these years. so many times i have been terrified of the way a building looked from outside because i thought i was in a totally different part of the city than where i was supposed to be because i would not book a hotel room in a place looking that beaten. from inside, everything looks nice and fancy but no one would expect that by just looking from outside the building. you have these fancy malls that make you feel like you are in the west but then you come outside and everything looks just depressing. the rural areas are less crowded, more clean and cost of living is higher too but the cities are a mess.

my memories of peshawar and rawalpindi are from my younger days but i went to islamabad in 2010. i went to sadar bazar of peshawar in 2010 as well and i loved how full of life that market looked.

In India, bigger cities have both nice and very dirty areas, and unfortunately they are very crowded, I would go to Mid size or smaller cities, they have less pollution and dirt and crowds

Mid Size cities like Bangalore, Pune, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Bhubaneswar, Trivindrum, Vasco da gama (Goa) are all nice cities

That depends. There are many clean places in India. I really enjoyed Connaught Place.

I felt more secure in India as a woman than I did or would in Pakistan. In India men and women stare at you in wonder but in Pakistan, the stares feel intimidating and insulting. Shopping is more fun in Pakistan though.
What I failed to get from your post was how a girl of 13 could feel intimidated, insulted and why would people be staring at her in the first place?

A woman of 24, if you were pretty or otherwise attractive, I can understand.

                Cheers, Doc

I am not Afghani though...so I dont know much about Afghan modeling industry...it presumably doesnt exist inside islamic country like Afghanistan.... i am only on this forums just enjoying trolling Afghanis, Pashtuns, Tajiks, Pakis and Indians, etc....

I am am a high caste Aryan descendants from North India.

I do know a few though from western diaspora Afghans working in the modeling industry:

Some models from western diaspora Afghanis, probably Tajik:

                          Pashtun models:

Afghan modelling industry is pretty much non-existent though due to cultural standards of society there...Modeling is considered kinda haram in Islamic societies. Women models are rare even in the West. Personally dont know any.

I'm not sure where you were living in pakistan, but I would say Islamabad is not representative of the rest of the country in terms of cleanliness.
I would say Lahore is a very clean city compared to other south asian cities . Punjab government takes good care in maintaining the whole place .
