    Ya ok BLV
I am ignorant and you are a know-it-all-behind-the-computer. I won't contest you there.

However, the proof is in the pudding...

Indians have this game called "kabadee" (I think). The object of the game is such that one man from the team has to go to the other side to take out his opponents without getting caught himself. Why did pashtuns fall east of the boarder? Because they got caught. The battle line was drawn at the khyber pass because this is as far as the british could go...they couldn't advance any further so they put up a sign that read:

Alchemist although you make a few interesting points about the state of Pakistan, you are very ignorant of your own history as well as the history of the Pashtuns of Pashtunkhwa. It is better to keep this ignorance to yourself rather than airing it (as some people do on both sides of the durand line). The only reason Pashtunkhwa was forced under the British writ was thanks to the Emir who sold this land out to the British. This was due the Russian and British rivalry in the region..otherwise they could have easily split up the entire Pashtun land into multiple fiefdoms. Second of all, re-read the history of the 1919 war half of the ghazis who fought were from Pashtunkhwa. So next time kindly do not celebrate Istiqlal wraz since those docile pashtuns east of the durand line fought a war for you only to put up with spite from a ignorant kid sitting on a computer. It must make you feel like a real deal activist right? Obviously Pashtunkhwa is now politically lost, it was forced to put up with a good 60 years of fighting the british then it was politically sidelined with the creation of Pakistan (the migraine of the world). This is the price for the constant fighting and rebellions of the Pashtuns there. They were a headache for the British, so the British clearly could not leave anything in their hands. This is one of the reasons why within Pakistan (I don't even like calling this state Pak) they are politically divided. Despite that they have maintained their language and culture and identity. The only unfortunately circumstance is that the history has been sidelined for mutaliye nonsense (aka Pakistan). In Pakistan, the most dominant ethnic group prefers urdu to their mother tongue and they have systematically taken prime Baloch areas (and would take more) as well as Sindhi lands too. They can't do that in pashtunkhwa. They are starting to do that but that was only after bombing it, bringing in militancy and assassinating major portions of the elders.

Again before you say certain things kindly read up...I am sure Feroz Afridi saib can suggest some books on its history.
wrora that emir story is totally irrelevant
we dont care if he signed a treaty and even if he did it doesnt mean you should abide to it.
it is a well known fact that british had many pukhtane from pukhtunkhwa in their ranks and even had this pathan regiment which still exists in pakistan.you are totally right that pukhtane from both sides fought alongside eachother against british in Afghanistan and dont forget my ancesters from Kunar also fought against british in Pukhtunkhwa.
this is not about personal pride it is about the fact that some Pukhtane who we also see on this site are giving the impression of those people who were int he ranks of the british raj.It was also a Pukhtun who was british agent and was sitting next to durrand to have the emir sign the treaty.
At the end of the day the history of afghanistan and Pukhtunkhwa has always been the same just some people here want to convince us that Pukhtane always were pakistanis and not Afgh
and and they are even manipulating our history in favour of pakistan.
these people want to say that Khushal Khan was a pakistani and so was ahmad shah abdali and rehman baba.
      please dont take it wrong

Khaana go check the durand line treaty and the treaty of Gandamak...had the Emirs not been incompetent they could have maintained all these areas. BTW FATA, Swat/Malakand were independent ever since the time of the Mughals right up unto 1969. Like I said go read the history of the region. BTW even Afghanistan (after it was cut up in 1893) had to give up its foreign policy and was freed only somewhat in the 1919 war (that too half if not more of the fighters were from Pashtunkhwa).

FATA was essentially a buffer within a buffer...it was never under the Raj, they had separate treaties and separate case. If you go to FATA it bears only draconian british treatment as its legacy with teh raj, no real colonialism.

Khaana Pashtuns have been in the ranks of their invaders before...this isn't the first time it won't be the last. They were under the ranks of the Persian empires, under the Mughals, so the British is not some separate case either.

Khaana do Pashtuns (majority of them abide by it)? Wasn't there fighting during the British time there? How do you think the British came to respect the Pashtuns so much, it was due to their constant fighting with the Pashtunkhwa Pashtuns. They both fought side by side.
You are from Kunarr, so you know firsthand how close north Pashtunkhwa and kunarr/ningrahar are. Peera zama da mor koranaee da Dir na dae..sthaso ao zamung da Dir, Bajaur kho da yaw khalk khabaraa daa. Yaw lahja, yaw khalk, etc. Obviously politics is never black and white. There is heavy fighting in Afghanistan, but NATO is firmly based there. Can we say that Afghanistan is being ruled by NATO? Of course not. Because we are aware of the ground realities. Now if some other person comes and speaks ill about Afghanistan and calls our people slaves for NATO staying there, would any of us tolerate it? Of course not.

I don't like Pakistan either and I always argue with those Pashtuns. I won't defend them either. However if someone is going to ignorantly malign a big portion of our land, our people, our history I will set the record straight.

wrora our present problems have been shaped the legacy of british raj in and surrounding our areas.Yes Pukhtane were in the ranks of persians empire only cuz their religious and cultural values were respected the same with Mughul and when these two started to act against pukhtane they got what they deserved.what saddens me is that some pashtuns are trying to convince me that all pukhtane in pukhtunkhwa are pro pakistan and its policies be it against pukhtunkhwa or Afghanistan.I will never ever say that pukhtunkhwa was compliant with british raj since i know very well that the most fierce resistance was and still is from pukhtunkhwa.there were more dead british soldiers in waziristan than the whole of british india.

Pashtuns didnt abide by it and yes the fighting continued but some people brainwashed pukhtane into being pro the raj.these people alongside hindus and sikhs even fought against pukhtane who were resisting.Yes my greatgrandfather fought alongside his brethern in pukhtunkhwa against the british and so did pukhtane form pukhtunkhwa fought against the british in Afghanistan.Yes you are right kunar,Bajaur are the same and even my ancesters were from bajaur. You are right our Pukhto lahja is the same so are our customs and even many of our tribes for example half mamund live in bajaur and half in Kunar.Wrora since to me all Pukhtane are Afghan which to me means one people than it should be totally a normal thing to defend on another in the face of people.so being from pukhtunkhwa shouldnt limit you to not be interfering into afghanistan and vice versa.

Wrora I defend both (and members here can attest to that) as to me it is one regardless of what happens. I agree that there were pro-British people, and today there are pro-pakistani people. You just said it, on the name of Islam some Pashtuns follow into the whole Pakistan. You grew up in Peshawar (or have been there)...what do they tell us? Paksitan ka mathlab kya laa ilaaha illalah...obviously a saada pakhtun won't speak against islam, especially when he is told Pakistan is muslim, India is hindu. If me and you speak about unity and pashto language, back in the day they would call that communist agents, secularists, kaffirs who are anti Pakistan.

                thats the exact problem
our people were used by seculer people such as jinah and their hires in the name of Quran and Islam.Unfortunately our people were sada and believed these people who were actually against the Quran.
Back than our people may have been deprived from education, massmedia and communications but nowadays the situation is different and it is much more clear now but unfortunately some people want them to go back to sleep and are still pushing the same agenda which is working against any effort done by Pukhtane to revive their identity.

hila kawem che koma khabera der bandye bada ne yee lagydele.

Just 60 years ago the southeast pakistan(sind and punjab) was part of india AND pashtunkhwa wa baluchistan the occupied terrotories till now.
Pakistan is ,,fake,,name or i should say a new name for punjabi ,,jats,,.
Whoever feel proud of this british name mean he/she is proud of her/his punjabi, jat origin.
Pashtuns have no voice but in general i have seen them calling very abusive names to ,,pakistan,,/i am not in favor of abusive names but that show their love for pakistan.
Pashtuns in pakistan are brainwashed and misguided by the punjabis and their pupets like qazi, fazal, sherpao khan, jagra, sami ul haque, asfandyar, hoti, saifullahs etc.
These people are more loyal to pakistan then punjabis.
Their gerat and pashtu is dead. Most Imams or mullas serving in mosques of pashtunkhwa are on ISI PAYROLL.They are using religion to serve their master. They never like pashtun uprising against punjabis. The mullas direct them to Raiwond in punjab to get a degree of PI(PAKISTANI ISLAM) and ceritficate of janatulferdos and become good pakistani muslim. They are all munafekeen and there is ayat in Sora Baqra that munafekeen are not muslims.
There is another group of pashtun serving in pak army. This group include many retired/present army officers brainwashing pashtuns. They are everywhere even here.I do not have words to use it for pashtuns serving in napak amry but i must say that they are like dalals of daimond market.
Their job is killing pashtuns for punjabis, serving punjabis and saluting them.

I support ,,azad pashtunistan,,with no urdufobia, punjabi or parsiwan masters. The fedration of pashtunkhwa wa baluchsitan is also a great idea for the pashtuns and baluchi brothers.
                    gadoonwal,gadoon area and tribe,swaby,pashtunkhwa.
