Its not like life style and culture of Khushal and other Western-Pashtuns is much different from yours. In fact American ones are most detached from their roots and are quick to dissolve into American society. They laughed at you and said you look like a desi/Indian and you succumbed to pressure without raising a question whether they themselves have Pashtun physiognomy. In all likelihood their families are more mixed with other races (Muslims of different countries as well as non-Muslim Negros, Europeans and Latinos) than the ones in Europe. There are no concentrations of Muslims let alone Afghan any where in America. There is not a single street on America where more than three Afghan families are immediate neighbors of each other. Afghan girls there are not going to easily find Afghan boys and vice versa and thus they end up marrying people of different races.

There is also nothing wrong with marrying out of your race and if you do have a problem with it then the pathans of karachi/islamabad/lahore are a bigger problem along with the fact that they are even more likely to assimilate completely and lose touch with their roots. Europe also has problems with muslim ghettos filled with wannabe gangsters and stupid crimes that ruins our image which north american muslims dont do nearly to the same extent.

I dont have problem with them adopting different life style and dresses, its natural they will become Americanized with time. Many of them will be decent and moral in western fashion and will be void of the certain vices that us easterns have. The problem arises when some of them appear on PF here, act all Pashtun-y behind PC screen and issues fatwas regrading Pashtunism. I have to call them out on their phony Pashtun-ness.

Jama, if you are telling the truth and have nothing to do with killzai, then you shouldn’t get worked up over this forum. This forum is sort of a relic from an older time, where most of the internet was pretty mean-spirited and flaming was normal.

The thing is no one attacked your family, or even you for the most part. We suspected you were killzai or had some relation to him (and I still do), but ultimately you know whether or not that’s true, so why be bothered by people who don’t know you?

I get what you're saying and i agree with you(i even was feeling that it wouldn't be a good idea posting pics of my family), i don't know any of you guys(and i have never met Killzai, face to face or have any relation to him), and proving you guys i'm pahstun from kandahar doesn't affect my identity in real life.

I don't even practice pahstun culture much(hell, i speak very little pahsto and mainly danish), and i don't care that people only insults me on the internet, like saying i'm a taliban, i'm gay, i'm retarded etc.

But when someone accuse you of being punjabi, who's larping afghan pahstun culture, while everyone i know, knows i'm pahstun and myself knows i'm pahstun from Kandahar, then i feel little upset.

Also, i posted the pics, because you guys kept saying i'm killzai and i was feeling even more eager to prove you guys i'm not killzai and actually an afghan pahstun from Kandahar.

I don't typically find the name Durrani used among Modern Day Afghans, that doesn't mean it doesn't exist but I find it more common among Pakistani Pashtuns from areas closer to Punjab like Multan and such.

And another pic is when my uncle went to kandahar(yeah, every pahstun from everywhere in the world can travel to Kandahar, but there's a reason why my uncle went there. He's from Kandahar too. Both of them are brothers with the same parents. Or would you suggest that a middle age man will go and lie about where's he from?

And calling ourselves durrani don't make us paki pahstuns. We're all barakzais(from my dad's side) and achekzais(from my mom's side). The reason they write durranis is because it's more simple for both outsiders and us, i guess, and we're the same family. Also, it's probably more preferable(probably considered awesome too, you know..because of Ahmed shah baba having the surname durrani too), i guess as well. I'm just 18 years old, i don't decide who's going to be named who.

And there are probably way more pahstuns only calling themselves durranis, while not mentioning their sub-tribe names daily, than you guys believe.

Remember, pahstuns are one of the biggest ethnicities in the world and all of you guys are living in America, not Europe, so it's probably little different from here compared to where you live. So you aren't the one to jugde what all pahstuns do and what they don't do.

And again, the reason my mom and sister were wearing desi clothes in the family pic was because we were in holiday in INDIA. And women from all races usually buy clothes and try them on, so that's why they're wearing it.


Believe me, if i had all pics of my family for everytime their took pics of themselves(both old(i mean like 20 years back, not only 3-5 years) and recent), i would have posted them and you guys would had believed we're all afghan pahstuns from Kandahar.

And also, how are killzai and I connected, except we both were in Denmark(while he, as you said, where in Denmark a little, i lived there my entire life and was born there too)?

Who fed you that non-sense?. Its not law or obligation, its tradition to have Khan as middle name. Afghanistani Pashtuns also used to have Khan as middle names. But their traditions have been greatly interfered with and corrupted by their governments in 20th century.

First, middle and last names was never our tradition and is a modern western thing. We identify with clans and tribes.
