Indo Iranians/Aryans were nomadic tribes in origin. Some of you North Indians speak the languages of some those nomadic tribes brought to the sub continent when comquering the sub continent (what is now classified as Indo-Aryan languages). The Indian subcontinent was mostly populated by darker race populations (hence why Aryans/Indo-Iranians there created a caste system to keep Races separate/pure) but over time they couldnt keep Pure due to the massively bigger dark race population size so race mixings there produced a different looking people than what you find in the Iranian plateau.
In regards to Gandharans, this would make them completely different race of people compared to modern Indians. modern Indian state have no ties to Gandharans or any other lands outside modern state of India. Claims on territories based on ancient cultural/religios similarities doesn't hold any merit in the modern context.
The Islam comes from Middle East, by an Arab prophet, but now this means we are Arab race and Arabs can claim our lands? Does that sound logical?
