There is no such thing as a pure Indian if you look at genetically, (ancestral south indians) were pure Indians, but they dont exist anymore. Andamanese are the closes population to them. Tamils/South Indians have the largest amount of their dna at 60-70%, while average Punjabis have 40-50% of their dna. Rest of south asian dna actually comes from ancient Middle eastern or east asian populations that migrated to the region over 5000 year ago.

also Punjabis are very much Indians if you look at them. having 40-50% of ancestral south indian dna makes you indian, because if we go by your logic then even Tamils wont be considered Indians

      LOL.

      Just like this "Paul" Gill.

Why do some people not want to learn and read history but instead make up their own fairy tale version of it and start treating their fiction as fact?

The overwhelming majority of Punjabis are Jats, Gujjars, Awans, Lohars, Chuhras, Cheemas etc These are all Hindu peoples. These are all peoples that are part of a society and culture historically deeply rooted in "caste". None of them have anything to do with "Persians" or "Central Asians".

When the British conquered Punjab they identified only two recognizable "foreign origin nations" living in some parts of Punjab: the Baloch and the so called "Pathan" (Afghan).

There is absolutely zero trace of any Turkic or 'Persian' descendant communities in Punjab.

The only 'Persian' descent people living in the entire Indian subcontinent are the Parsis, who live in Bombay and Gujarat, both in India. A tiny Parsi community can be found in Sindh, who migrated there from Gujarat during the "British Raj".

Examination of Parsi male DNA has confirmed their ancestral link to Iran. But their maternal DNA has been found to be primarily Indian, which is no suprise since they migrated to India over 1000 years ago, and are the ONLY people in history to have been recorded as having migrated from 'Persia' to settle in India.

There are no other certified historical records or accounts of any other 'Persian' migration and settlement (not the same as invade, plunder and return) in South Asia.

None of the communities that make up the people we now call "Punjabis" have an ancestral link to Iran. If they did, then Parsis would cluster with them on DNA tables. But they dont. Parsis are at a noticeable genetic distance from ALL other South Asian communities.

If Persian was still the Main language in these regions the culturally Bond might have been stronger than its today...
Persian was never the "main language" anywhere in South Asia. Even Parsis had stopped speaking it before the Mughals arrived. It was only the language of the foreign elite who were tiny in number compared to the natives that they ruled over. The masses of natives did not know Persian and most had almost no interaction with their rulers until the British conquered India since Indians were mainly peasants living in small villages which were not permanent settlements.

Mughal sources note that it was a common way of life that Indians regularly abandoned villages and moved from place to place, sometimes even very long distances from Central all the way to Nortwest India or from North to East depending on things like draught, famine, war, inter-Hindu conflict, and even over just rumors of nearby disasters or for superstitious beliefs of bad omens or good fortunes to be found elsewhere etc (a way of life still practiced by gypsies, who originated from India millenia ago).

Hardly an environment where Persian could be taught and learned by the majority millions of uneducated and illiterate Indian peasants and pastoralists, which is what most of the natives in NW India were under Turkic and Mughal rule. Let alone these millions of peasant Indians having any use for a foreign language anyway.

baloch and pashtunes are gypsy origins. baloch and pashtune always went place to place. they had not any proper houses.

we laugh at baloch in pakistan. even now baloch cant build house. they live in tent.

you seen here gypsy baloch in Persia.

I've seen other Sikhs tell lies and beg to be 'Central Asian' and 'Persian' before. But nothing in comparison to Pakis.

A few years ago i knew someone that was signed up with an agency that recruits people to occassionally work as background extras for movies, advertisements, music videos etc They told me that this agency had made its profiles book publicly viewable. You could search the profiles book for characteristics like ethnicity which was categorised under self-described labels like White, Black, South Asian, East Asian, Central Asian, South American, Mediterranean, Middle East & Nort African etc

When i took a look at the 'Central Asian' list there were about 100 people on it. Something like 90% of them were Sikhs and Pakis who had self-described their ethnicity as 'Central Asian' and many had self-described their skin type as "olive" even though you could see from their profile pictures they were clearly neither.

Can you imagine how frustrating this would be for somebody making a film or tv show on say Uzbekistan or Kazakhstan or something and they contact this agency for a list of their "Central Asian" profiles, and the background cast list they get back is 90% made up of South Asians that have lied about their ethncity and skin type?

Not only are these idiots who listed themselves as "Central Asian" obviously not going to get any work to be a background extra on any production, but they are wasting the time of production teams that would ever need Central Asian looking people and have to scan through a list of background extras that is full of self-hating Pakis and Indians that might fool themselves into thinking they are "Central Asian" or this or that, but wont ever be able to fool anyone else.

You are mistaken. I will grant you that they primarily drone on about how punjabi they are (after playing some boilerplate autotune song they have so many of), but if you get to know any on a personal level, like I did, you will see them mentioning it every so often.

Some of my former friends, now enemies, were sikh. They weren't turban wearing etc, ie they looked, and acted, like normal brown people that have assimilated in the country I'm in. Every so often some of them would talk about how they're actually Persian/ancestors are Persian. This is many many years before I joined this site.

Hilarious....hahahahaha maybe that's why there were no Desis in the Borat movie with Sacha Baron Cohen. LOL. Your post honestly made me laugh.

I used to know a boy in college. He was Pakistani but originally I think his family were Indian Muslims. He claimed his grandparents were Iranian. Of course, no one in his family could speak Farsi- he spoke Urdu, had "Desi" written all over him, liked lreading an Urdu paper, as dark as a Sri Lankan and used to try and shun Pakhtuns at every opportunity he got.

                    South Asians are disgusting.

There is a British documentary by Michael Wood from the 1990s called 'In the Footsteps of Alexander the Great'. In the last episode Wood goes to Pakiland and finds some Dravidians in Multan running some kind of drugstore that claim to be the descendants of Alexander's 'doctors' and that their practice is 'Greek medicine'.

It is so revolting and cringeworthy when these Pakis tell these unbelievable lies all the time and try to relate themselves to completely different races and cultures to themselves like 'Persians' or Central Asians, sometimes even f'n Greeks! Haha..

What a seriously disturbed and sick people punjabs are.
