That was not an insult. It was a joke and it was a good one. They guy always generalizes about people and it was a good way to turn that back on him.

Daud and Zahir Shah were Tajiks?

Mazar and Herat are mostly Persian cities in Afghanistan, they were and still are more conservative than Kabul is and even more conservative than Peshawar.

Actually, Kabul was quite westernized until 1992.Things changed when Najib government fell and Mujahideen came.
While the rest of Afghanistan was being destroyed in the war against the Soviets during the 80s,Kabul city did not see the fighting as it was the seat of the government.

Come on , you really have to be stretching it in order to claim that Herat and Mazar are more conservative than Peshawar.Probably a very small section of Peshawar elite is the liberal, westernized type , but the general public is conservative.

Mazar and Herat have full veiled burkha wearing women while many women in peshawar just wear a tekhrie and in the office they dont wear anything on their head and their female concerts are more in tune with bollywood tradition.

I'll take your word for it, but do all,or majority, of the women in mazar sharif and herat wear burka?

I know several Pathan/Pashtun families here in Canada and I am saying this by looking at them
Is this a joke? I lived in india for 4 years and indians are the most kanjoos people on the planet. Indians will work hard getting money and in the end doing nothing with it so idk what fun you are talking about.

Stop talking out of your a*s. Most of women in Herat wear chador like those in Iran. Actually the average Herati girl/women living abroad doesn't even wear Hijab. Heratis despite being traditional people are quite tolerant and educated. You see we are not bifarhangs ready to blow ourselves up over a burka or a chador.

Its so obvious that you have never been to Afghanistan and you are just making stuff up. Moron lol

You must be living among the labor type Indians, considering you're a pathan laborer

                          Ghul jana,
Chador is replacing the Burkha. This is a new phenomenon. Its happening all over the country.
Burqa losing favor as Afghan women opt for chador

You dont have to take my word for it. The Burkha is a Persian custom and it is mostly used in Persian parts of the country.
