If it is the product then it is the source? That statement doesn't make sense. Your analogy doesn't make sense either.Take capital punishment; give it to a government, it kills people, take capital punishment, you give it to people the government deems "thugs" , it kills people.

Doesn't work well with your "Knife" analogy. Killing people to deter people from killing people hasn't worked, it also doesn't demonstrate that killing is wrong. It only teaches that those with power/authority can kill people without repercussions.

The knife analogy was about that anything could be used for good or bad. Your saying that capital punishment can only be used for bad because it is a product of corruption.

In reality it is POWER that corrupts no matter what. Your saying that we shouldn't have it because there is POTENTIAL it would be used for corruption. The knife analogy was my response to this statement that anything could be used for corruption. Man himself is the variable and you cant really do anything about that variable unless you built a society of robots that are programmed as you like which looks possible the way technology is progressing.

Can fornication be used for good? can prostitution be used for good? Some may argue yes, but the reason we oppose both is because they're overwhelmingly destructive.

There's no evidence that Capital Punishment has had a more positive or beneficial consequence for society. In fact much evidence to the contrary.

The reason capital punishment exists is to exercise power on other people the idea that it is a "justice" is a social "truism" passed down to us by authority. To acclimate us to their might is right policies.
