  • Congretulations to the great ANP and PML-Q

Afr sayyaf daughter Married to Panjabi

    Islamabad

The sumptuous feast arranged to celebrate the marriage of Mustafa, son of Mushahid Hussain Sayed, with Zalla, daughter of Afrasiab Khattak, turned out to be an all-parties conference, where every leading political party was significantly represented.

Though it was not a (political) marriage between the Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) and Awami National Party (ANP), Mushahid Hussain kept up the tradition of having family bonds with the Pukhtoons. Earlier, one of his sisters was married to a son of former bureaucrat Roedad Khan.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Special Assistant Khawaja Zaheer, Special Assistant Irfan Siddiqui, Adviser Sartaj Aziz, Special Assistant Tariq Fatimi and a number of others belonged to the government. They attended the function in their personal capacity. Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan and Dr Shireen Mazari, were conspicuous with their presence.

PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, former Speakers Illahi Bux Soomro and Syed Fakhar Imam, Ghulam Dastgir Khan, Jan Jamali, and a large number of senators and members of the National Assembly belonging to all the political parties including the Muttahida Qaumi Movement were present at the ‘Rukhsati’ and ‘Waleema’, rolled into one, jointly hosted by the two sides.

Besides, a multitude of senior serving and retired bureaucrats, diplomats, intellectuals, media persons and leading national figures and elite of the town attended the grand feast.

Mushahid Hussain, accompanied by his wife, Dr Dushka, and Afrasiab Khattak warmly received the guests matching the occasion. As usual, Mushahid Hussain was joyful and jovial, and introduced the guests, not earlier known to Khattak, in a befitting way. He would not let even a single invitee go without a good exchange of engaging pleasantries and energetic laughter.

The guest list showed that Mushahid Hussain drew it out very carefully not to miss any of his friends and even acquaintances he respected from the core of his heart. He has a very sharp memory and doesn’t forget people he has been close to.

It was not possible for such a wide array of politicians, opinion makers and thinking people, having assembled in such a relaxed ambiance, not to discuss the latest goings-on on the national scene. Every group has its own set of subjects to talk about.

The hot topic was the forthcoming critical round of talks of a four-member committee appointed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif with the members of the advisory council of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in a couple of days at a location that the two sides had consciously avoided to disclose for their own reasons.

One rather informed guest confided to me that Maj (retd) Aamir, who figured in the dissolved government body, was also invited to the meeting of the new official committee of present and former bureaucrats, and Maulana Samiul Haq led Taliban forum that Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan chaired on Saturday, which decided the long awaited date and venue of the parleys.

He was of the view that Aamir attended the crucial session on the special invitation of the interior minister. The retired military officer enjoys good relations with certain Taliban leaders but prefers to work for the “national cause” quietly so that Pakistan gets rid of the menace of terrorism.

Although informed guests prayed for the success of the talks, they were sceptic about a positive outcome. They particularly alluded to the visible distance of the Pakistan army from the process by not formally joining the official committee, and said it had brought down the prospects of a breakthrough.

But one guest, who appeared to be in the know of the government thinking, presented the view that the civilian government and the army were on the same page as the prime minister had been extensively consulting with the top military leadership at every stage. Both the committees were constituted with its consent.

Nothing it's just how Pashtun leaders discuss Pashtun matters. Which ends up in family relationship.

I hear you, in the end it is all a power game, none of them really embody their agenda, they just use it to rouse up supporters.

same reason Afghan Pashtuns give their daughters to Tajiks and Uzbeks as well as Punjabis and other South Asians.

Many people just don't care about that stuff.

he is by no mean pashtun nationalists.
It is the policy of ,,isi,,to influence nationalist parties and khatak is their men.

On other side we have kabali-pashtuns are mixed with tajiks in large numbers and adopted the language of iranains.

It is a shame if you give your daughter or marry punjabi woman in pashtunkhwa.
While in afghanistan it is more afghanyath and something pashtuns feel proud of .
                  I am against such relation.
pashtuns must not marry tajik, punjo, uzbiks and others.
Tajik and punjabis are the product of banana culture and civilization.

Lol why do you get so emotional. Did we give his daughter hand to a Panjabis. Stop playing an ignorant. Wali khan family supported him. Got elected as a Pashtun nationalist. He hasn't only fooled Pashtun from pashtunkhwah but also afghan leadership alongside Ajmal Khattak while residing in Kabul. Khattaks must have special feelings for Panjabis and isi. I would careless if he was an ordinary Pashtun.

Afghan side is mixed? prove it then.

As far as i know, racial mixing with tajiks only happens in the north and west where they are the norm, and most pashtuns in the south are conservative and don't like racial mixing not to mention there aren't enough tajik/uzbeks to mix with in the first place. So before you go pointing fingers, i would cleanse pekhawari pashto of urdu and make pashto the official language of KPK.

There are many southreners living in kabul mixed with tajiks. So as many pashtuns of paktya, laghman, nangarhar and you name it.To prove my claim there are millions of afghan-pashtuns there and you can see them with your own eyes..
The pashtuns in helmond, kandar and paktika are more pure cus not many tajik lives there.
Go and see the 80% pashtuns of farah .Where many speak the language of minority.
Yes,i agree with you on the peshwar -pashtu but you need to remember that the villagers in pashtunkhwa speak more pure pashtu then peshawris.
The old city of peshwar also have khindko speakers and they can,nt speak proper pakhtu. These khindko speakers are still better then the royal afghans and others. At least we teach them our language while you been forced to speak irani.

The afghan-pashtu is also full of dari words like ,,hayat, tashakur, tazkira, sadri azam, balay and thousands more.
whats the differance saying ,,balay in farsi or jee in urdu?
pashtu on the east is influenced by urdu and on the west by parsi.
Proper pashtu on both side of durani line is spoken by the illiterate pashtuns this is fact.
The eduacted one feel ashamed of pashtu.
One example of farsiwanism is yourself, sorry to say.
                        Can you speak proper pakhtu.
Try and write your messege in pashtu language and you will get to the point.

We are minority in pakistan while you with 60% pashtuns have no choice but to learn parsi to servive.
25% tajiks imposed their language on 60% pashtuns come on get a life.
we must work for pashtu and unity of lar o bar.
Blame game is not helping us.

Tajiks are fellow indo-iranians, atleast they are not ugly like punjabis. Same is case with balochs who are also indo-iranians, pashtuns also dont frown upon on marraiges with them.
But marrying with indics has always been taboo among pashtuns. If some one marry punjabi , people think that he has polluted and corrupted his nasal.
Now this afrasiab khattak , must have given speeches about decency , honour and manliness of pashtun men for decades but he didnt find a good man among 50 million pashtuns for his daughter. Why we cant ignore him? Because he is pashtun nationalist. Its not surprising though, dr.khan sahab' daughter married with a hairy and uncircumcized sikh
