lol, why do punjabi claim pashtun descent? its funny this girl was telling me that she's half pashtun anyways i was convinced she was punjabi and she was like no my grandad is from afg, but i find it really weird. Also ive heard a few people saying they are pakistani pathan<<i think their mean't to be different to the average pathans? does anyone know anything about that?Oh and i hate it when people use the word pathan!!

I know a tons of Pakistanies and Indians, that go
"oh my grandparents came from Afghanistan"
Apparently, most of Afghanistan migrated to the present day Pakistan/India long time ago lol.
Not that there is anything wrong with being a Pakistan/Indian. But, I think the problem starts to kick in when you go around and claim something that has nothing to do with your culture, origin, genes, language and religion.
Also, if you cannot trace your lineage going back like 100 years. You are not considered to be an Afghan or Pashtun.
Because, i'm pretty sure if not all, most of us here can trace our lineages centuries back.

Dude there are these so called "pashtuns" in west?
Do you consider them pashtuns from 30 years from now?
When half of their women are either married to blacks or mexicans, their kids live a wannabe ghetto life and whatnot.
The same goes with the Pashtun or pakhtun or pathans if India.
Like mentioned before, you either have to speak the language or atleast follow "pashtunwali"
In their case, they dont follow either.
