California is a great place, but is very expensive. I've only been once, and when I payed for cigarettes, I was immediately turned off.

The taxes in Cali are so ridiculous that a lot of people are moving to Texas. I am currently living in Austin and it is a great place.

If you are about making money, Texas is the place for you. There are so many opportunities here it is ridiculous.

I am currently working in marketing, and have been solid in a firm. I've worked for Dell on a tablet series, and also Wells Fargo bank in acquiring accounts.

On the side I am talking to a kid from Karachi about a warehouse, distributing phone accessories aka China maal. His operation is gong so well he wants to open a warehouse in Austin, and wants me to invest 20k.

Really, the economy in Texas is booming. You don't have to have education here to make money. Just passion and a sense for business ethic.

I don't know about the rest of Cali, but yeah the SF bay area is ridiculously expensive, I think SF is one of the top 3 most expensive cities in the country. A studio apartment goes for like 2500/mo.

I make enough money to be comfy in the east bay of SF bay area, I am a construction inspector so I will never be rich but do ok. Luckily the economy is picking up now and there is a lot of construction going on here, especially in San Jose with all the hi tech companies building new headquarters.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Lala, there is no income tax. That is what the beauty is. This is the best place in United States to generate wealth. Salaries for minimum wage are bakwas, but If you are educated or have some skill you will make good money. Real estate is also cheap. Texas economy is booming right now. Even uneducated people are becoming rich. Also there is a huge Karachi community here. Hard for me to get along since I am Punjabi, but there are many decent people here from Karachi. Next weekend I will be going to San Antonio for a function and will see Junaid Jamshed. I know some Pathans here and we get along well. I worked for some Waziris in downtown Austin, at their convenience store. Awesome guys. I pray for them every Jumma, because they helped me when I needed extra money.

I hope you visit. Come visit, and see If you like it or not. There are many Pakistanis here, and I enjoy the fact that we have cricket leagues here. I am originally from NYC. Texas will not be my home, because I plan to move back to Pakistan after making my money. But you should realize the market here is so lively, that you can make very good money here.

Wror, get out of your comfort zone and come make money in Texas. There is so much construction going on here that it should be a gold mine for you. I know you have a background in engineering, so please. Come to Texas and make good money. This way you can help your people back home. I am making such good money that I can have a very nice car, but I still drive my toyota camry. I sent so much money home last year that the FBI detained me and asked me questions.

We work for money, but this is not our life. I give to many poor families of my village that they are no longer poor, and now I am giving to the village next to ours.

                  How's Texas?

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Never been to north America myself but these are some of the things us Europeans think of the two countries.

                      USA v Canada

Canadians know about the outside world, most Americans don't.

Americans have a gun problem, Canadians don't.

Canadians generally are polite, Americans are "diverse".

Canada is a land of ice, ice hockey, mounties, Degrassi Junior high, problematic Quebecois.
