Feroza although it is commendable that you love Afghanistan as a state it is unfair to put that entire burden of Pashtunkhwa Pashtuns. Pashtunkhwa, granted not every refugee was treated well, but this is not only Afghanistan people, but refugees from within Pashtunkhwa had a terrible treatment in the camps and when they were uprooted. However the difference and preference is that:

            - not all Afghanistan people were in Peshawar, there were other areas they settled and they were not harassed. Swabai is one of the areas with the largest concentration of Afghanistan pashtuns. Even within Peshawar many had a good life (obviously it is not easy in a city with a lot of corruption and little resources).
            - had they not been Pashtun, no way 3-5 million would be able to settle there. Uzbeks of Uzbekistan couldn`t even stomach a few thousand Uzbek refugees of Krygzistan. Neither do the Tajikistan tajiks and we all know how Panjab and Sindh treated Swat IDPs. Ironically these are their own people or supposedly citizens (in the swat IDP case).
            - I have sat with people from peshawar and etc and even the ones who are the most super-pakistanis, will admit that if those refugees were not Pashtuns the locals would have stomached them for so long. Had panjabis, or persians or any other ethnic group came in millions to Peshawar, they would not have accepted them in.

p.s. About the patriots well this is an unfortunate consequence of the state, it can be reversed. The Pashtuns in the army, well they are not that many, and majority are joining due to economic reasons. The rest that are high ups well they are part of the establishment, and they don`t even have any sympathy for Pashtuns in their own tribe or area....how will they care for others?

Malgaro! The etymological appellation is " Pakhtun/ Pashtun/Pukhtoon/Pushtoon", but Iranians called us "Afghans" and Indians identified us as " Pathans". Lar ao bar Pakhtuns/Pashtuns/Afghans are synonymous and one and the same people.I hate to be called Pathan, rather I will love to be called by my etymological and aboriginal name, " Pakhtun/Pashtun.

Offcourse bro, we have many problems, and its solution lie only in education. If i have talent and will, no body cant stop me but if i am an average fella, thousands fellas will go in competition with me be they are Pakhtoons or other ethnicites. We should have to look forward and see the paths which can lead us to prosperity rather than expressing anger which is of no yield in real world affairs. My intent is not to downplay your views but in my opinion, the focus on education is key to have a strong say as community as well as an individual. Knowledge is power and without this we cant win our wars even individually in this rush of competition.

Btw i had expressed good wish for all the people of the two countries.

Well, i am not an expert on this that Pakistan's interes run with Pashtuns or not but on this very forum i read someone that Pakistan support Pashtuns and India, Iran support other ethnicities.

Anywayz, lets hope for the better in our countries and prove ourselves worthy assets while accomodating other ethnicities as well.

It is not an issue of accommodating other ethnic groups, but rather are your interests there. The issue is that for the past 30 years the policy of Pakistan has been very antagonistic towards Pashtuns, this goes for Afghanistan and Pashtunkhwa. The ramifications and the bias of the policy is very apparent today. So I have hard stomaching this idea of their `support`for us.

If you are from Afghanistan, and telling about Taliban, then just extend your view before Taliban's era, and visualise the situation of warlords with their own laws and looting etc then complain about mullahs and education....

A very common misconception. The issue of Pashtuns and their problems do not require a reformist approach. The Indians were more educated than the Pashtuns but the greatest resistance to the Britishers came from the Pashtuns. Education should be the first post-independence priority of the Pashtun/Afghans.
