Thank you very much for your interesting answers Arevapahst. Appreciate. I am unfortunately busy with my studies today but I promise that I will answer later. I spoke with two of my sisters and they somehow know this plants you tell about and gave me information.

I also managed to found an video about Armenian cuisine in Beirut. I am talking about a similar dish to the one served in that restaurant. Is says it is grilled sparrow with butter and spicies.

Do not worry- I am busy as well - I even do not manage to answer always as You see, for what I am really sorry.
Thank You for the video, I think the dishes they have are quiet typical for Arabic countries, aren't they? We cook here a bit different things, even if Many Akhpars(Armenians from Arabic countries and Iran) came to live in Armenia, not all their dishes got diffused here.
But also here typical dishes can be different. Yesterday I was talking to a famous Lezgin philologist and writer, he told me that Artsakh(Moutainous Karabakh) has a kitchen very similar to Lezgin one(one we used to be neighbours and Artsakh was a border region, but today we are divided and Lezgons lost most of their native lands.
As my nation wasn't free for long time it adopted also a lot of dishes typical for countries or nations who ruled in the Armenian highland.
As I told once - typically ancient armenian kitchen was based on Legumes, Wheat, Nuts, Fruits an Milk - some ancient Armenian researchers tell us so.

By the way , dear Al Arab , I'd like to ask You one question.
I do not know if You have ever read Shahname, but in the Shahname there is an Arabic Ruler(he later becomes a negative figure) named Zahak(in armenian we call him Azhdahak), however in Shahname it is said that Arabs didn't eat meet once - and Zahak becomes evil when the devil becomes his kitchen chief and feeds him with meat. Is there a part of trouth that Arabs were vegetarians once , or did Firdowsi write it just literally?
