niqab or hijab

asalaam alaikum sister's and brother's
i'm a new hijabi sister and i want to ask which one of niqab and hijab is the right mentioned hijab in the quran?
post your proof's so i can deciad which is correct to start wear inshalla and which one isn't the one mentioned in quran.

Asalam alykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

Its both the same...while Hijab is the overall form of the dress that for a woman is prescribed for them to wear it and niqab is one form of hijab.

Within Niqab is an addition in it which the Ulema (scholars) agree with but state it as not must. It is the covering of the face except for the eyes.

It is okay if the woman doesn't cover her face,but rest of her body except for the hands.

the right hijab is to cover all your body with your face and hand's.

this is a big prob now days with muslim's and thier female's, they dont know which hijab is the correct one.

i would like to ask the girl's here, if you know NOW which one is the right hijab would you start wearing it and cover your face and hands (if the right was niqab) ?

Aisha said, "Asma, daughter of Abu Bakr (that is, Aisha’s sister), entered upon the Apostle of God (pbuh) wearing thin clothes. even you know which hijab is the right, and muslims claiming they know, while they just want whatever they like to wear.

The covering of the face is not a must i have discussed this issue with certain people having knowledge on islam.

And there is the agreement between the scholars that covering the face in complete except for the eyes is not must,but one can do so.

Neither niqab or hijab just decent dress according to the situation, climate, weather, season , aesthetics and mood. Religion determines only your beliefs, worship and morality has nothing to do with dress which is part of culture or civilization and not religion otherwise the whole Muslim world would wear similar dress.

Modesty is in your soul and heart not in body. Be good Muslim having strong beliefs, morality and perform your religion practices like prayers, hajj, fasting , spiritual exercises etc and dont worry about dress which is not at all part of religion.

Most of the hadith about dress were fabricated to spread Arab culture in the name of religion and to dominate women by male Muslims. Quran just asks for covering on the chest and this also as mark of identification but not a religious duty.

Quran says

" not show of their adornment except only that which is apparent, and draw their headcovers over their necks and bosoms [An-Nur, 24:31]

The word zeenah in the aayah above, literally means "adornment", which Allah has adorned, i.e., the woman's natural and/or physical beauty,

O Prophet, Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their outer garments about themselves (when they go out). That is better so that they may be recognised and not molested. And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. [Al-Ahzaab, 33:59]
