the Sunni 'Ulama have a consensus that this hadith is authentic and that women are not obligated to cover their faces; even though it is desirable (mustahab).

(Sunan Abi Dawud)

This hadith is found only in the hadith collection of Abu Dawud (no. 4095). According to Abu Dawud, it is considered weak because the narrator who transmitted it from Aisha is not known, khalid ibn duryek wasn't Aware of the time of Aisha. (mursal)

show from one of Abu Dawud's books that he claimed it is weak....that's why I said this is a Wahhabi book; because Wahhabi books are making claims about Abu Dawud; it is not a book by Abu Dawud itself.
