Yeah the super super white pashtuns are really rare haha, but most Pashtuns typically look like your average south Asian in my opinion.Originally posted by waterbear_waterbear View PostAfghans typically are divided between three appearences. The Chinese mixed/Eurasian look, which Hazaras, Afghan Uzbeck, Turkmens and Aimaqs look like, and the Olive skinned look which Pashtons, Tajiks, Nuristanis, Pashais typically look like, tending to look similar to other Middle-easterners and Southern Europeans. I know Afghans some can look scandinivian, but it's very rare, the superfair look is rare, very rare.Yama Pukhtoon da Pukhtano sara zam.

Well, it depends where I am and whom I am talking to. Once, while crossing Pak-Afghan border, a malayshay wala insisted that I was Hazara, however, in Kabul most people think I am Peshawri (because of my ridiculous Dari accent). In Kanadahar, people think I am Quettay-wala and in Quetta, I am often taken as a Kandaharai. In Karachi, where I used to live, I am always Mardanai for Pashtuns and ShumaliEtihad wala for the non-Pashtuns. An American whom I once met in Kabul thought I was British."Da bado sakha sha zezhi, da sho sakha washa zezhi"

Sometimes i get confused for a stereotypic ethnic german, blonde blue eyed etc, other times people think i am a homie from the projects, like i remind 'em of bro 2pac, may he RIP.
But i think i am somewhere in the middle like my bro, the main man, Armando Pitbull Perez, the rapper from BonBon video - nice.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Turkish, Arab (morrocan), Iraqi.By blood, we are immersed in love of you.
The youth lose their heads for your sake.
I come to you and my heart finds rest.
Away from you, grief clings to my heart like a snake.
I forget the throne of Delhi
when I remember the mountain tops of my Afghan land.
If I must choose between the world and you,
I shall not hesitate to claim your barren deserts as my own.
