Torkham brother, if you do not wish for your children to grow up in America because they might turn away from Islam and their afghan culture then that means you are excluding every Western/European country from your list. Europe is 10 times worse of a place to raise your children than America. you might as well only stick to south asian and middle eastern countries. No place is perfect in this world. every place comes with its own down sides. it is for you to decide what is most important for you and your children.

the title of the thread should have been, which south asian/middle eastern country offers a good life?

Having lived in North America and in Europe for a long time, I can assure you that Europe is by any standard better than the US.

"The Land of the Free" is a little too free.

                        I wouldn't say so.
Regarding London at least. The city has more mosques than any other in the West. Huge Muslim community. Many opportunities for Muslims. Far less discrimination against Muslims than in America. Remember that ground zero mosque thing in New York? Would never get opposition like that in London on that scale. Very easy to bring up your child in a Muslim environment with Muslim values. The Muslim community here is more tight-knit whilst in America it is more spread-out. In the mosque here today (Jum'uah prayers) people were praying on the stairs and outside on the pavement! Also we don't have millions of people watching and believing Fox News (or anything similar) here so that's an added bonus.

How a Muslim turns out depends mainly on the attitude of the parents. But of course nowhere in the West is ideal. There are still many 'westernized' Muslims here but as far as I can see it's not as bad as in America. The British attitude towards Muslims is far kinder than the American one (from my experience at least).

Can't speak for the rest of Europe.

I have not visited london, but the way you described it, it is how i have described california (not the whole US). Every state and every area is different. I have heard very positive things about London, and I agree that the influence of Muslims in london is very vast. It is the same case here in bay area/california. i don't know anything about NY and i am not going to talk about it. and i don't know much about other parts of US either. the way you described London, is exactly how i would describe california. which is why i recommended it.

on the other hand I can speak for rest of the europe.. countries like, Germany, HOlland, France, Norway, Denmark, switzerland, sweden, and sme others. I have been there. I have family there. these countries have a reputation with vulgarity and they are doing everything they can to protect that image. it is actually close to impossible to raise your children with Islamic values in these countries.

California has one of the highest crime rates in the world.
Gang related crimes, pornography (San Fernando Valley), drug abuse and the ability to purchase weapons legally or illegally is an explosive mixture.

I have lived for 6 months in San Diego and I have visited the Bay Area, too, with San Francisco as the capital of gays world wide.....

I really do not know what you are talking about or if you have ever left your house but specially California and the Bay Area (Oakland, San Fran etc.) is a place where you can forget about the things you are praising here.

Holland as the worst country in Europe is by far not that bad as Cali is.

I am definitly sure you have been to Holland, haven“t you?

Well i'll let the Europeans here like Graveyard, Sangar or Mostafa discuss that with you.

To me it is a problem of how spread out the Muslim community is. I also have family in Europe and they manage fine. Paris for example. Many Muslims there, easy to bring up your child with Muslim values. Same thing with London like I said or Birmingham or Edinburgh. In the big cities the Muslim communities are closer like Amsterdam or Hamburg or whatever. But in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and other areas of Germany & France the Muslim community is more spread out so less chance of having your kids be good Muslims. The locals will be more weary that you dress differently and aren't eating their currywurst because there are'nt many halal butchers.

You might hear cases of people like Geert Wilders, burqas in France or the minaret ban but it is definately not as bad as you think. Similarly I could make the case that in the Southern parts of America the locals want to protect their image against us Muslims. Or how those people in congress want to pass laws to stop the building of any new mosques across America etc etc

I think talking about countries would be too broad. The question should be 'which city offers a good life?'
