I really do not know what you are talking about or if you have ever left your house but specially California and the Bay Area (Oakland, San Fran etc.) is a place where you can forget about the things you are praising here.

Holland as the worst country in Europe is by far not that bad as Cali is.

I am definitly sure you have been to Holland, haven´t you?
i already pointed out the high crime rates. the rest of the problems are common in many places. DUbai for a matter of fact is the capital of vulgarity and prostitution and thats where torkham lives.

and no, 6 months as an exchange studen, who has managed to go through more than 10 cities of america in those six short months doesn't count. talk when you live here 11 years like i have.

there aren't any perfect places in the world.... this worldn't isn't perfect.

To me it is a problem of how spread out the Muslim community is. I also have family in Europe and they manage fine. Paris for example. Many Muslims there, easy to bring up your child with Muslim values. Same thing with London like I said or Birmingham or Edinburgh. In the big cities the Muslim communities are closer like Amsterdam or Hamburg or whatever. But in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and other areas of Germany & France the Muslim community is more spread out so less chance of having your kids be good Muslims. The locals will be more weary that you dress differently and aren't eating their currywurst because there are'nt many halal butchers.

You might hear cases of people like Geert Wilders, burqas in France or the minaret ban but it is definately not as bad as you think. Similarly I could make the case that in the Southern parts of America the locals want to protect their image against us Muslims. Or how those people in congress want to pass laws to stop the building of any new mosques across America etc etc

I think talking about countries would be too broad. The question should be 'which city offers a good life?'
i definitely agree. the topic is too broad to be discussed in terms of country... it should be discussed more in terms of city or state. there are many laws here in california that are different than the rest of the US.

I completely agree with rest of your post. That was the point i was trying to make. there are exception in every country in terms of every area. also, one has to decide what is important in one's life. once one gets priorities straight, then its easy to decide where to live.

Pushtana I am looking for your experiences of different countries.

I am sure localised areas where there more afghans and muslims live, such as the Bay Area, London, Marseilles, etc provide greater support.

Agreed The Profession is big business in dubai, but you have too look for it. Immorality is not pushed on tv, cultural indoctrination is far less pervasive. Even in private international schools arabic and islamic studies is part of syllabus by decree to 16 for all muslims. I think it provides better insight to our deem. Other problems exist instead.

Thanks for you observations. Especially about Rights, quality of education, health care provision.

Any one know about living in Turkey?

I am looking for other aspects of good living, along with what has been discussed.

Looks like Canada, California, UK, Northern Europe. Dubai is way down.

I lived for 6 months in San Diego, California.
I visited the cities I mentioned. My overall picture of the US with gun- and licour shops at ever corner wasn´t that positive.

From a moral point of view, as you highlighted it, Cali was the worst place right after Las Vegas.

After living there for 6 months, I definitly know that I won´t wanna live there for consecutive 11 years. For vacation sure, living a big NO!
          The only constant is change.

you should list what you are looking for. only then others can tell you if the place they live in is suitable for you or not.

I think that idea is very subjective and also dependent of where you live in Canada.

Indeed, one cannot treat most countries such as America, India, Russia, Europe or any other federal instution as one unit in this context. Even in Britain, London is far different to the rest of the country. Many different aspects to consider I mean if you talk about Britain you could choose to live by the seaside, on a farm, in the city or in the sub-urbs. Everyone's experience is different and everyone as you say has their own list of priorities.

                    You currently live in Amsterdam?

I do agree with Gulbabo. Though California is not the perfect place to live (no place really is) i prefer it over any other state in the US. I think its more comfortable and has a lot to offer. Its the best place if you are the traveling kind of person because this state is known for its beauty. Yes, it has its ups downs in certain regions/cities but every state/country has that as well. However, no place is best or should be blamed on whether it compromises with your cultural and religious values (except of course if you live back home, and even that) that relies on the individual and family. Unless if you live in Amersterdam (i kid). The only place in Europe i wouldnt mind living in, is Turkey and Finland. Turkey seems like a cool place to live, and Finland (from what i know) offers a lot for immigrants and the schools are great.

if i had the money for a nice house, one of the only places in the bay area i would live in would be san ramon or clayton. clayton is pretty cool because if u drive down a few miles on the road u will be around farms and stuff but still close to big cities. its kind of like that a few miles outside sacramento, but the country around there are full of white trash.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

if u can, i would recommend staying is a muslim majority country, even the uae. while things are far from perfect there, there is at least some kind of islamic influence from what i understand. some is better than none. all the vices that exist there are here as well. i have only visited the uae but from what i understand, the vices there are more underground and less spoken of. whereas here the vices are out in the open and part of regular culture.

i dont know ur family position but if u have kids, i would most def recommend a muslim country, even if the position of islam is not strong, over a non muslim country.

its like my baba said to me a while back, that with my friends growing up he didnt know if i would end up an idiot or a good kid. and he was grateful i ended up a good kid lol

                                turkey wants to be europe.

and those euro countries are fine with u as long as u don't look, act, or live like a muslim.
