there are many dari speakers in jalalabad. They come from Surubi, laghman, kapisa and other areas and live in Jalalabad. As someone said shaikh mohammadi.. yes they live in jalalabad too. They speak lil bit like laghmani dari such as (chetor astakei khob astakei.. khudayet khwar nakona , and etc) lol

shaikh mohammadis are very chalak ppl. they will take u thirsty to the river and bring u back thirsty so becareful.

I have been to that city and its a lovely place where you find spots of Pashayei people in suburbs.

What were you doing in Afghanistan if you don't mind me asking. So you went there during Taliban time, bcoz it takes you about 4 hours from Torkkham to Kabul and 3 hours from Jalalabad. The roads are nice and neat now.

Let me know when you are there next, I will come and pick you up from the border. Aw samee manzereeh aw chakaroona ba wowahee.
And why are you asking? Pashtun of KP has become suspicious, is'nt? Where is wrorwali?
For instance you afghans think if luffy or shehbaz khan is in jalalabad then they must be collecting data for ISI...Dear the traffic of meena muhabat must not be one sided, show us the same melmastob that you people had enjoyed in KP.
Dari speakers in jalalabad? I am disappointed...i thought it would be a pure pashtun speaking area as it borders KP but it seems you people are so much mixed up with tajiks...
What is the criterea for marrying tajiks? For it seems that tajiks dont have any specific roots and can be easily classfied as kacha people...their culture is at 180 degrees to pashtuns , being so liberal...why pashtun-tajik marraiges are so common in afghanistan?

Most of the Dari speakers in Nangarhar Province are our Mohammadzais and other Pashtuns. There is a very small population of Tajiks, and most of the Dari speakers are our own Pashtuns. Other minority ethnic groups like Pashais either speak Pashto as their second or first language.

Basically, Dari has been spread in that province by our Pashtun families to a large extent.

Yes. My brother-in-law's family are Jalalabadi and they are mixed Dari/Pashto speakers. In fact, an uncle of his is Dari/Urdu-only.
