why feel guilty? Did God make Pashtuns His Holy race? You know many Pashtun tribes were originally Tajiks? God made men and women to desire each other; it's normal and healthy; but his rules and laws are so that this healthy inclination can be actualized in a healthy way. Through marriage only.

Even the most snotty obnoxious Pashtuns, who try and start animosities with other ethnicities would be surprised to learn that their Ancestors were actually Tajiks.

I'm Hotaki Pashtun, we're known as the most revered Pashtuns of Qandahar and other places; but our ancestors are alleged to be from Ghor some people claim the people of Ghor were Tajiks.

People stop being degrading to Shisha; do you think it will rectify her by verbally abusing her? Show some shame.

and to everyone esle who said go for it thanks

i still dont know what i want to do if uno what im saying, i mean he's so sweet and he doesnt even go to my school we met in summer school(yay) and we stuck togather like glue and when it was over i cried but then i forgot about him and just the other day i met him again at someones wedding and i realized how much i had missed him!! and we even picked out baby names for our future kids (as a joke) but secretly i was seriouse

Again the fact he's tajik isn't the issue; it's the way you're going about it. I discourage this relationship; it's not a "free world" we have to take responsibility for our lives. Our actions have consequences and consequences affect how our world works.

This is why Pashto/Pashtun culture is so degraded in Afghanistan due to inter-marriages with Arabs/Punjabis/Tajiks. There are very common cases of Pashtun women(young as 10) in Swat being sold off to Pakistan Retired Generals/Officers/Majors.

The Salafi Movement of Afghanistan have even taken Pashtun women of ANA soldiers as War booty during the Soviet war. Plus there are graves in Kandahar where women pray to killed Arab jihadis.

So in essence, my point is, there is no reason to be shocked to hear news that a Pashtun women likes a Tajik man.

I think Pashtuns have been very accepting of Inter-Racial Marriages, on the other hand, its always good to stick to tribes, it would be a tradgy to see Pashtun lineage and rich culture destroyed.

However, its a free world, do what you feel is right.

You know Mahsuds are ORIGINALLY Tajik, so shut up; you wouldn't even know what Pashto is today unless your ancestors were Pashtunized.

Sure the heart flutters, but few of us need to know all the sugary details. Perhaps you need some Big Sister advice here, so you can disregard everything I say.

You asked for advice, here's mine. Feel free to disregard:

                (1) Don't spill the beans in public.
                (2) Teach the fellow the words to "Waziristan da Pukhtano Watan De". You're family might be impressed that Mr Ken Doll is taking a family interest too.
                (3) If I said that your father was looking at this thread, next thing is, you'd disappear and then reappear with a new account and PM me to tell me (as you have done before) that I'm mean and horrible.
                really good advice waroa

Shisha, I strongly suggest you take a step back. I mean when you are considering someone for marriage or whatever it is you have to consider ALOT. Its not just going to be you and him- its going to be alot more people also. People that are already alive and the people (children) that will be alive in the future IA. Some can pull off the mixed race thing- and you shouldnt worry about what others think of you but you should think about your future- your life. And sweetheart, I have a feeling this is just lust. Trust me I have been there and done that. I mean if you can forget about the person so easily then its not love (I dont think it is). Of course you cried because you felt you had a connection with him but that doesnt mean that its love. People have alot of crushes in their lives but not every crush turns into a love.

I highly suggest you cut communication with him and take some time for yourself. You really need to think about your future and talking to him while your doing it isnt going to help. I always imagined myself with a pushtun also- and I was actually thinking about mixed relationships the other day. Theres just so much that you have to take into consideration, there really is. All I know is that I would always feel this hole- if I didnt get married to a pushtun man, even if I loved the other guy with all my heart. But thats just me.

In the end its your choice. But love is ALOT different then lust.

I dont really understand the hatred between Pashtuns and Tajik, i mean you guys are pretty much the same people, sameway Punjabi/Urduspeakers are. If a Punjabi marries a urduspeaker its not really a big deal, i mean islam should come before race, both Tajik and pashtuns are muslims, why do you guys call yourself muslims when you are divided on such small issues, i am not saying go out marry any race you want, but once in a while a person will fall in love with someone outside the race, aslong as he/she is muslim, nothing is wrong with that. All the time i see you guys blaming outsiders for your problems when you have so many racial problems inside your own country. Fix them first and then blame others
