come on what? you ever lived near a bat colony? they stink terribly, spread diseases and are noisy at night. thousands at once, not just one at a time.
they are cute to look at, though.

I have visited bat colones, but they did not have such a strong smell. also they weren't so noisy.
Do not fear any disease of them, in that case anything spreads diseases.
Somtimes when I go home at night there are so many bats that you feel unconfortable to walk, as the fly sometimes some cm away from your face, but same i like them

then you didn't visit the same colonies as me. the ones i had a distance from my residence and others i have been to, were absolutely rank.
colonies can number around 1000 to 200,000, depending on availability of food. obviously these particular bats in australia are not your problem, so sure, don't you worry about fatal diseases from these bats.

yesterday, there was a bigger one, about 2 metres but i didn't get a good photo of it. too shady where it was. we call them carpet pythons.

How bidg do they become?
When I was a child I was always trying to catch Sandboas, but I did never succeed

carpet pythons can grow to around 3 metres, apparently.
