Metronomes (or "pendula") when on table, oscillate with random phases, since that is how they started and they are "uncoupled" (no energy/information flows from one to other so they do not "know" each other.)

When they are all together on the cans, notice that the cans themselves oscillate little, providing coupling/information crossover which forces "synchronization" in periodic systems (discovered by Huygens in 17th century).

i saw a three legged dog walk along with his owner today. He was leaping around in excitement in front of his owner as if being a three legged dog was the most natural thing out there. Unless it was born that way, it must have tripped the first few times after it stood on his feet. Eventually someone must have trained him to walk with three legs be happy with that..
Some people are like that. They don't have half as much as we do but they live life like they have everything they could ever ask for..and then there is this part of me that wishes we cared for each other enough to make a profession out of teaching others how to live along with their challenges and disabilities and be content with life..

That´s not completly true.

Iran was heavily involved in the Lebanese and Afghan Civil war and tried to install pro-Iranian regimes.

It is very much involved in the greater Middle East and South America (Buenos Aires Bombings etc.)

Iran is not a dove being shot down by merciless Americans.

Iran should settle it´s problems directly with his arch enemies which are Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States, Egypt etc.

It´s proxy wars seem to be over!

Even so, I think the point is that America is not the dove it makes itself look out to be that needs to subdue a merciless enemy.

If we were to include all the 'indirect' wars America has waged the list would be bigger. Iran hasn't directly attacked anyone since 1700's
