I like stuff that match, like shirts with shoes and whatnot. If that's fashion, I'm totally into it. If fashion is something else, I need a definition to decide.

On a scale from 1 to Kim Kardashian, I'm probably a 9 when it comes to being into fashion.
I like dressing fashionably, my clothes have to match.. the color of my scar has to somehow correspond with another color in my outfit, my shoes have to match.. e.g. I can't wear sporty shoes with a fancy shirt or vice versa.. same applies to purses.

But hey, I don't go overboard. Everything has a time and a place Sometimes, i just don't find it necessary to put in that much thought into what I'm wearing. Since most of my wardrobe consists of rather basic items.. I just mix and match, get jeans and a shirt, a scarf and an underscarf and put on my flip flops and leave

Daa zma lewanay Zrra gorah, daa sta lewanee Mina..
Za ba da Sahra warnakam da Iran pa Golestan,
Dalta za yao & yakta yam, halta zar zma pa Shaan

How can you not be? Our dress code says a lot about us as individuals, a lot about our status, our intellectual capacity, our education, our beliefs, morals and the like. Dress, possessions and company are the kind of things that say a lot about us without people having to approach us, they read us through our attire. And you have to remember, first impression is the last. I am not a trend follower, because not every trend suits my liking. You can be someone who has all the riches in your hands, spend hundreds on your clothes, but if you don't know how to wear it or carry yourself, then there is not much point. I am a match freak, my hair clips, my earings, bracelets, even rings have match, else I'd rather not put it on. If you can (afford) go for brands and are into them, why not. At the same time though, you should consider those less fortunate than ourselves. Some may say, the element of pride comes in when you dress a certain way. Rasulullah SAW was also asked about this in regards to his Hadeeth on pride. His (SAW) response was: Allah is beautiful and He likes beauty.

Also, I kinda want to build on what Iqra said, but tangentially. I think being healthy and in shape is just as important as being fashionable.

For example, if I saw someone wearing the most expensive brands or whatever, but they were totally out of shape (even thought they could be more active and lose weight etc.) then they honestly would not look like a very appealing person to me.

On the other hand, if I saw an individual who was wearing simpler clothes but had their body kept in shape and were looking healthy/vibrant/energetic, then that person would look a lot nicer to me.
            Tangent it is!

Taking care of yourself ... fit wise? and clothing wise ... I guess both kinda can be connected. I mean not only fit, but well groomed in the sense of like your hair, nails (being cut and clean), etc etc.

I agree... it's great to dress nice and look presentable...all the time.

I guess like people said, the definition of fashionable differs between people...but one thing some people might overlook, don't follow every trend, because guess what! Everyone doesn't look good in everything

Once upon a time I was very, very big on fashion. I was arguably world renowned when it came to a certain fashion category. It had a lot to do with the previous Forum I operated[From which I resigned] I have stopped now. I dress plain and simple, sort of like a gentleman. A nice polo, slim jeans, with some polished shoes do the job for me. I also like to think I am a bit sophisticated.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

That's good. I just don't understand women (and men, too) who look as though they couldn't be bothered about their appearances. People should not just be eloquent (and classy like Admin Khan) but they should care about their physical appearances by caring about their health and their dressing. That's why I love the classy women of the 20s, 30s and 40s. Everything about them was classy despite the fact that in France at that time, they didn't groom themselves properly. Which is still likable. I'm talking about Elizabeth Taylor and the sort here.

Laila, you and I are meant for each other. It's not a secret.

                              whats Fashion??????

every nonsense thing comes into fashion and people wear them and buy them because all are buying them and all are wearing them........so we follow the crowd....

why cant we go against the crowd????????? why cant we stand unique??????

i have never followed fashion rather i dont buy what others buy and make it so common... and i choose something that others dont.....

i wear what suits me the most whether in fashion or out of fashion...it should just enhance my personality and i am done.....

and i set trends....what i wear comes into fashion... so i am trendsetter.

also every thing in current fashion is not always good and everything good is not always in fashion.....
