A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

yeah you can pretty much be fashionable in whatever kinda of clothes you wear...just depends on what you do, and how you do it.Originally posted by Feroza_Banu View PostI consider pashtoon / afghan/ islamic dresses very fashionable
Wearing western clothes doesn't make you fashionable and non pashtoon/afghan/islamic clothes doesn't make you less fashionable.

I think I'm a fairly fashionable guy, but I usually let girls pick out my clothing because they know what looks better on men lol.
Also, I kinda want to build on what Iqra said, but tangentially. I think being healthy and in shape is just as important as being fashionable.
For example, if I saw someone wearing the most expensive brands or whatever, but they were totally out of shape (even thought they could be more active and lose weight etc.) then they honestly would not look like a very appealing person to me.
On the other hand, if I saw an individual who was wearing simpler clothes but had their body kept in shape and were looking healthy/vibrant/energetic, then that person would look a lot nicer to me.

Do I chase trends? No m I fashionable? Yes
Every one has a diffrent sense. You can wear a rug and call it fashion. It all depends on how and when you wear it. So traditional outfits dont limit you.
I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.
non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.
