          What sense, Jasmine?

I'll interject my own thought on the topic that FASHION is a front for the dark side.
          Sounds radical.
But examine how it is set up solely to make women go and purchase new outfits all the time.

If one wears the same clothes as "everyone", it puts one into the same mentality of the general public
It's very difficult to make independent judgments.

I'm not talking about you, Jasmine. I'm sure you have good taste.

But it IS the same type of person who trusts in the American corporate media implicitly who also will run out to buy things - especially on impulse.
That is always a bad sign that maybe bad spirits are pressuring one to waste money, time, on trifles which should be better planned and managed.

I believe it's best to go for a CLASSIC ELEGANCE. Never the ugly modern styles.
For they ARE unbelievably poor from every angle, nearly all of them.
Once in a while there's something a little nicer.
But usually it's a case of selling as much as possible to the masses who have little ability to discern what looks ladylike and proper. As well as TRULY becoming.

I'm not talking about men's fashion here, obviously.

The need to adhere to fashion plays unfortunately on the "herd complex" that people fear to stand out from the crowd by looking different, having unusual, original opinions and thoughts, etc.

I say it's a GREAT sign when someone fearlessly wears tactful, modest dress which still looks pretty. And doesn't need to change her style, ever, because the look achieved is timeless.

This is very true Sher. I notice sometimes they are 2 products made of the same exact quality yet the price are really different just because of its brand. I am not a big fan of designer clothes, I buy what I like for whatever price as soon as I like it.

            How about you?

              Dukhtar-e-Kabul,
I may do another post about designers, but not today. You're right about the gyp on the prices !

              Jasmine,
I'm speaking of "modern" fashion. I don't like any of it! Not suitable attire for nice women. Like us all here, right?!

Are you a psychic, then ?!!

every nonsense thing comes into fashion and people wear them and buy them because all are buying them and all are wearing them........so we follow the crowd....

why cant we go against the crowd????????? why cant we stand unique??????

i have never followed fashion rather i dont buy what others buy and make it so common... and i choose something that others dont.....

i wear what suits me the most whether in fashion or out of fashion...it should just enhance my personality and i am done.....

and i set trends....what i wear comes into fashion... so i am trendsetter.

also every thing in current fashion is not always good and everything good is not always in fashion.....
