Yeah the Masjid that i always go to since i was 9 is very diverse.....There are so many Afghans, African American Muslim, Indonesians, Arabs, Indians, Pakistanis, Turkish, Europeans, converted Muslims, every Muslim from different countries....and i always wear one of my afghan dresses, and they love it :D

Lenghas, Pishwas (whatever you call them...the frockish type of clothes with the tight partoog...anaarkali or something), shalwar kamees, ghararas, Inshallah inshallah, by this Eid I'd have gotten myself an afghan kali but yeah I loooooveee wearing different styles of kali's since I've never worn western clothes and never will :P

Btw, in your new shalwar kamees do you use just wear it regular style or is it glammed up and up-to-date-ish? Some of the latest styles are kinda waaaay out there though going on sleeveless and three quarter shalwar's lol

Yeah the new kind are way modern like the sleeves are missing more and more :lol:

I dont have any glammed up ones, which i need to buy.....i have one casual one where it is a white top and red pants with red scarf....

gotta buy more!

Glammed up ones I save for weddings or like major events. On Eid I just wear whatever looks nice, nothing too flashy. (I'll try and find pictures.) I don't go OTT either, coz I'll have to greet my cousin brothers, uncles and especially my grandfather. Men in our family are quite particular on how we dress, so we always cover ourselves properly and plus we gots to anyways.

The three quarter shalwar's are just wierd man, like what on earth, it doesn't even look nice and I don't like sleeveless either. :D

I actually have engraiz friends who are waiting for me to get them shalwar kameezes, I told them to wait for my wedding :lol:

I have more female doctor cousins than male ones, and they were top in their uni's, mashAllah.

^Agreed. Women nowadays are more focused in Education as compared to Men. Take a look at the ratio in the west.
