    Forty Hadiths for Women

Chapter 33 : Woman should not wear tight clothes
Narrated by Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "Two are the types of the denizens of Hell whom I did not see: people having flogs like the tails of the ox with them and they would be beating people, and the women who would be dressed but appear to be naked, who would be inclined (to evil) and make their husbands incline towards it. Their heads would be like the humps of the bukht (very huge) camel inclined to one side. They will not enter Paradise and they would not smell its odour whereas its odour would be smelt from such and such distance.”

Hijaab isn't just about covering the head, it's to cover the whole adornment of a woman.

Khorey, if you don't mind me asking...what is it that stops you from wearing the hijaab, is it what other people would think, being safe..?

yeah, its mostly about my security too.....i go to a college that the environment is filled with people of Confederate views and the KKK deal, get what i mean?

but the thing is i want to wear a hijab for me, not for anyone else. I mean definitely for my faith and religion. Though i really want to, i dont have the courage to do it. I know there is no sort of excuse for it.....i am fully aware of that and i take every responsibillity for it.

but let me ask, if a female does not wear a hijab, is she then considered not a modest woman? because modesty is not just the clothes, its how you portray yourself, your state of mind, your actions.

Now you would be contradicting your hijab if you wear a heavy amount of makeup, tight clothing, and not follow Islam correctly right? I see that all the time.

I think that would be a contradiction of a hijaab.

Yeah I know America is different to here, I can't say what your security is like. I understand your point...the KKK wow scary, they're probably worse than the BNP. But now let me ask, who is worth fearing more...them..or Allah? Got sta think about it in the long run.

I agree other factors contribute to modesty, but I'd say hijaab is definitely a major part of it all.

How you ever thought about trying it for a day? It doesn't even have to be at college, you were talking about taking a trip somewhere to buy clothers for when you go Afghanistan, you could perhaps try it then..and see what happens..how it feels..

yeah i did try it for a half a day :P i was at home. But i dunno, i just dont have the courage to wear it full time, you know. I am sure other females who do not wear hijab really do truly feel to wear it. I mean i dont go about my day not even thinking about it, believe me. Hopefully i can build that self esteem to wear it. But then i dont wear mini skirts and sleeveless shirts.

I dont think you need a picture of her hair to help you, its her face. Her features and complexion; so you can decide what suits them ... no?

I am NOT suggesting anything of the sort MFD, trust me ... *holds ear*

Not old fashioned at all if you ask me. Compared to the pace others are going at, we may be snails in fashion. Pe haqeeqat ke, aghoy der tez rawaan di, mung ne sost yu au ne shaata paate yu (not past rafta). I would rather think its natural beauty, than being old fashioned or not adopting every little fashion trend. I have never dyed my hair, and I dont plan to until I have greys, no really. And no, I am not saying dying your hair is a bad thing either. Everyone to their likes and desires.

You must have beautiful hair ...

                              • ^^ Well i always though i would never dye my hair until i reach my 30's or when gray hair starts kicking in. About 4 years ago, i was using this medication that caused hyperpigmentation of the hail follicles. In non-scientific terms, my hair turned a different color....it was the brightest blond color on a tan person. So i had no choice but to dye it. I dyed it a really dark color, but after 4 months, it soon faded. But the weird thing is, my natural color i was born with came back. So ever since i had golden brunette hair, which i absolutely love. But sometimes you want a change, right. Though i have only dyed my hair 3 times out of 4 years.

Btw, i have nearly the same complexion as Selena Gomez (the bottom photo) but i may be a couple shade darker than her. I want to go with the first photo, i love that color, it suits more of my natural color, so it will stay on well.

@ DaZahroJaam, word of advice....since you never died your hair...i am telling you not to, dont even do highlights. Reason why, you will need to be consistent with it....if this is only going to be for one time use only...the problem is your roots will grow out and you will still have those highlights but in the middle of your hair, which you may need to cut off....if anything go with low lights, that way when they fade off, your roots wont be darker, it will just be your regular hair color.
