        Al Jazzar Mosque, Occupied Palestine

Located in Acre, Occupied Palestine the mosque was built in 1781 by the Ottoman governor of the city, Ahmed Al-Jezzar Pasha (known for his cruelty and also his success at repelling Napoleon's invasion of the city). It was built over existing Muslim and Christian prayer houses as well as various other crusader buildings. The architecture is typically Ottoman incorporating both Persian and Byzantine styles. It is the largest mosque in Occupied Palestine outside of Jerusalem. The mosque also contains the Shahr el Nabi which is a lock of hair from the prophet Muhammad (saw).

          Delimedje Mosque, Serbia

Very few images of the mosque.
All I know is that it's in a village called Delimedje in Serbia which is supposedly the poorest part of the country. The village has 445 residents. Notice the super tall minartes. The first image looks pretty nice.

            Zagrebačka džamija (Zagreb Mosque), Croatia

Located in Zagreb this is one of the biggest mosques in Europe.
There are over 60,000 Muslims in Croatia making up just over 1% of the population.
The Ottomans conquered parts of Croatia from the 15th to 17th Century and many chose to convert.
Although during that time there were no mosques in Zagreb since the Ottomans didn't get that far.
This mosque was obviously built faily recently judging by its modern architecture.
            Looks nice.

Hmmm.....is it just a coincedence that there is a mosque in Kabul that looks similar and has a similar name?

Nice to see the distinctive yellow Eid Kah Mosque in the main square of Kashgar.
Apparently the rest of the Old City is being torn down by Han Chinese -
deliberately to erase the Muslim Uighur identity as much as possible.
VERY SAD - go there soon if anyone gets a chance, before the destruction
                  is completed.
The Chinese administrators will leave this mosque, though,

BECAUSE it's a magnet for tourists from every land.

Nice Kashgar raisins sold nearby in the bazaar, too. I miss those.

The Afghan ones are probably likewise very similar.

The Croatian mosque looks creepy and distorted.

But the Serbian one is something else with the unbelievably high minarets.

I had never heard of Putrajaya in Malaysia.
Pretty mosque : interesting details about the architecture chosen.

Occupied Palestine is right way to describe the one in Akko - Acre.
It looks very Ottoman in style. I don't see the Persian elements, but I'm
                  sure they're there.

                  Inspiring series.

                      The info:
The Schwetzingen Mosque (also known as "Red Mosque" is known) is a private retreat in the building area of Schwetzingen Palace Gardens, built by the royal architect Nicolas de Pigage. 1776 was the first stage called "Jardin Turc" (French: Turkish garden).

The mosque was built in 1779-1791 consists of the building behind it and the cross-passage or prayer. The mosque was an expression of Turkish fashion ("Turquerie") of the 18 Provided century, but not for use as a prayer house and designed.

Nevertheless, it was used by Muslim prisoners of war 1870-1871 for the first time as a prayer house. The building is now used only occasionally for Islamic
                      worship.

The mosque is part of the Schwetzingen Castle complex. The castle was built in the early 18th century.
There wasn't a great deal of info.

                      Here is the castle/palace:

No more images. No more info.

My guess is that it could be as old as the Bahmani Sultanate which started out in the 14th century.

                        Nice old mosque.
