And you mentioned that this is for something. If it's something you can share with us in public, I think you should tell us what that is so you can receive better help.

The thing is... I need an academic writer on Afghanistan. And I do have a question.... which some great social and/or political scientist will be more than successful in answering. If I post the question here, already knowing some of our dear members, this thread will become an endless sea of posts with every kind of people answering a question that requires a bit more of thinking and a lot more of referrences to be answered!

That was really nice of you to say about my posts, Gaia. Someone actually liked them?!!!

I have only an AB in Political Science, hence don't qualify for such a project. Further, I studied almost every other area of the world BUT the Muslim world. It was not at all available at my university then. Today there now a professor - [whose politics I don't agree with, however] - from Iran and a thriving studies program for that region. I wonder if they offer classes on Afghanistan Studies by now?! I surely hope so.

[I focused on Communism and Soviet Politics, as one may be able to tell by my posts!]

All my studies of South Asia /Middle East started after graduation! Years and years of checking out every book on the shelf that interested me about these countries.
Actually, for me, that was the the best way to learn. Plus, through firsthand travel, naturally.

So perhaps you could let the Forum know what the project concerned when it's close to completion ?
People seem to be getting curious!

Well, Catya, there are people who will gather respect and earn my admiration with very few lines. Carefully worded, right on the subject, language loving.... it's the passion and care in the writing. And the intelligence to pass an opinion. You have it!

And I sure liked the posts I've read of yours. There's a thoughful opinion to them, that's more than I can ask most of the times.
