So, I've been told there are some scholars in this forum.... and I'm looking for them. Social scientists, political scientists, experts in Afghanistan, would you, please, let me know what issues do you work with? It comes out of the blue, but, I do have good reasons for that. Also, feel free to PM me.

    Thanks in advance.

How will those people send u PMs while this msg comes?
Gaia has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.

If you are trying to send this message to multiple recipients, remove Gaia from the recipient list and send the message again.

      Gaia,
Are you a researcher in Iran?
I like the evocative name of the location you gave.
Are you actually there at Pasargadae?
Wasn't it restored pretty nicely recently?

Sorry and thank you, Angaar. Apparently, i'm getting nearly retarded lately. I changed all the privacy settings and hope you will now be able to contact me. If you could, please, kindly tell me if it's working now... I'd be even more thankful to you.

And hi, Catya, I'm a researcher in the processes of national formation, having special interest in Afghanistan and Eurasia. So, yes, Iran gets into my area of interests too, that for sure.

As for Pasargadae, that's more of a poetic mention than a geographical location. I think you've never read these lines:

"I am going away to Pasargadae,
There I am friends with the king
Shall I have the woman I wish
On the bed I will choose.
I am going away to Pasargadae."

Sure it looses half the enchant with the translation, missing the soind of its metrics, but that's a good proposal.

I have the same question you have, by the way. I think we need to have here a list of Pukhtun scholars, with a brief description of what each one does, what she/he has studied, what her/his qualifications are, and other relevant information.

                  Mananuna.
You said it! As I'm in an urgency, had to be selfish in my request. But that's definitelly something that should be contemplated to the future in the forum.

If there's anything you would like to know relating to Pakistani Politics n Current Affairs I might be able to help you there

I want a PhD, or at least someone with a Master's degree in Social or Political Science, well-versed in issues regarding Afghanistan in academic ways. I'm thankful, but really passing on personal statements and says without referrences.

In short: I want an ACADEMIA expert in Afghanistan.

Once I have that information (since I hear everywhere in the forum that there are scholars and researchers and all in the community, but never got them to identify themselves), I would be more than glad to exchange a few emails with some more information regarding my interest in the response to this call.

As for your suggestion, Jasmine and Talal... thank you so much. And yes, I'm aware of some of these names you've mentioned and really love some of their posts. I need it to step up a few notches, though.

Lewanai is one of my favorites, Dawershkhel comes out as a great researcher and today I got myself quite impressed with Catya's posts..... I still need someone with a degree though and posts can't tell me of the academic formation of many people.

Ah, and I hate bringing names like this because it winds up being quite unfair. Jasmine also has blessed writting... and Qratugai.... way too good, but still can't answer my main question, since it's not her specific subject.
