    A few assorted P.S.'shere :

I believe video games, all of them - are simply
DEADLY to one's soul. Especially they block out
the ability of the soul to SEE true things.

Things like this have ruined a generation around the world,
turning them into robots. Hence there is no WILL to stand up
to defend God on any given point.

Think about taking all this superfluous clutter out of one's life -
this recommendation is directed at Pashtuns living in the West and any "US soldiers" reading here alike.

The other thing is that if one really wants to help Afghans, every single
person here can do a good work without spending a penny or leaving their home.

Why not 'offer up' to God ALL your daily chores, work, frustrations with

supervisors, insults offered to you, etc.
Turn LOSS INTO SPIRITUAL PROFIT by asking that your suffering be
credited to some victims of tragedy among whichever group of people you wish.

Make it a habit and you can really help this way alleviate suffering for others.
More than donating $50 to some fund which may never reach the afflicted anyway due to corruption and ineffective administration.

Finally, I have to say that the 1953 coup to reinstate the Shah of Iran
was one of the BEST interventions that the CIA ever did !
It's too long to go into here, but that WAS a good move, in MY opinion.
    Most everyone here will disagree.
But they do deserve credit for that. Mossadeqh was awful - !!

^Agreed on most points, but if you are referring to Assassins Creed, it is a game (the first one initially) about a Muslim group which acted against the Crusaders and Muslims who cooperated with the Crusade. The game took on a hypothetical setting afterwards, taking the Assassins to Rome (the Assassins never really went to Rome).

It is based on the Hashashin political group I think. They were Muslims

There are actually many Muslims who helped make the games as you will notice in the credits.

The game makes some good points.

Mossadeq was popularly supported by the Iranian people. He was removed by the US because he nationalized oil. Foreign intervention, especially, by the US is never good because they install dictators and tyrants to suppress the people for their interests. This always backfires as we are seeing with the uprisings throughout that region.

The Shah imprisoned and tortured his people, and then ran away when the revolution took place. The Iranians reacted to this intervention with their revolution.

^ I am using that deliberately because even in this very thread there are people
who appear to be American military or some officials.
So I am trying to appeal to their best selves, too. Hope they will
work on themselves. First step is start analyzing and thinking independently
of the Mass Mentality, which is particularly prevalent in an army situation.
Then to ask what is the point of their assignments ? Are they doing what God wants?
No American who is not a Muslim will ever HEAR the word "Allah" [swt].

You wouldn't believe some of the stuff i have come across in the past few days alone making horrible statements about Islam.
Americans are SO IGNORANT< it's unbelievable.

So i am trying to talk to people in a way they can understand better.
That was the idea ; I doubt my words would have any impact no matter what, though !

Regarding the Assassins, yes of course I know who they were !
Besides reading all the books about them - and even watching
the old fairly well done movie, "Omar Khayyam" which includes a lot about
              Hasan Al-Sabah -
I have also visited the Castles of the Assassins in Syria too.
I was invited to spend the night at the foot of them with a local family.

The Castles were beautiful and the atmosphere mysterious.
A very rare experience ; I never heard of anybody else going there.

So why not instead learn through healthy media like books -- or travel pictures if not
possible to actually visit a place --
rather than a synthetic means such as a video game ?

I am convinced that even putting one's eyes on the screen of such stuff,
no matter WHAT it's about, is akin to receiving a faint poisoning dose.

Why? Because the figures are so ugly and unreal.
It takes one's soul to another dimension which feels deletrious.

I only saw one video game for one minute one time when forced to. I was appalled by
the tacky, low-energy people depicted. It hurts the eyes.
I had to look away while pretending to be polite to the host who
was fixing my computer for free but insisted on showing me this stuff
which seemed to fascinate him as much as his 4 children gathered around

Why live in an artificial world when there's a fascinating real one out there
              to explore ?!

I'll remember the hospitality of that Syrian family forever.

But this digital video game junk should not the way to learn as it somehow
distorts the viewer's perceptions very subtly perhaps - but it does.

War is somehow different from the grave sins you have mentioned. I have observed you supporting war against "West" on PF, yet you are just considered an overly opinionated person and hence not kicked off PF! Technically, you are a supporter of war and someone who enjoys freedom of speech on PF and elsewhere. It is ironic to see your advocacy against something that you are practically indulged in!!!

                  You best be joking.

I never supported war against the west. I supported war against the invaders.

You know, the foreigners who came to Afghanistan to kill women, children, eldery people, animals and the people who tried to resist to their invasion.

Your brain is so f* up.

I am not even Afghan. How can you let people supporting the genocide of your own people on this forum is beyond me.

Your brain is really really f* up. You are not even able to provide an objective point of view.

Being against the war in Afghanistan and supporting the mujahideens is the only reasonable choice.

Any other choice goes against :

                  - Islamic teachings

                  - Pashtunwali

                  - The universal principle of the right of the people to decide what they want for themselves

                  - Afghan sovereinty

The existence of people like you disprove the concept of freedom of speech. I can only hope, for humanities sake, that one day there will be justice against you all.

Somehow Noorzai thinks that defending your country is supporting war against the west.

Lets say, a bully is bullying Mr Noorzai and when he defends himself, he is actually bullying the bully...

                    haha!!!

Al Hanif! Let us not forget how our conduct should be, we are gentlemen and must act in accordance instead of addressing each other with profanity!

By definition war means physical confrontation between two group of people utilizing all means of power and resources to subdue its opponent. Justification is open to interpretation. My comment was strictly neutral and just wanted to convey that war was a phenomenon and voicing our opinion for either side in the war was regarded as freedom of speech!
I did not support or object any side. That is how i exhibit my freedom of speech and am duly respectful to anyone's opinion.

I am sorry. I just think you should start reconsidering your opinion about this subject.

Especially when muslim lives are at stake.
