by the way makeen, the term "punjabi" is not an insult.

as for the subject of leaving..stay. i like it better when people don't get along well. bold stimulating thoughts provokes action which brings change. ...i just wish we could do it in a civil manner.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

there is clear dictatorship on this forum.

Let me make it clear, All i asked to qurratgai, was that do you support homosexuality? do you support your children if they were homosexual? I called her a canadian feminist because she said she is herself, then in regards to the Lesbian, yes i made a joke, i was being sarcastic because there is a sterotype of feminists being lesbians, i tort she had a humour and not take it serious.

          Makeen Brother,

First of all, let me make it clear that as many like to think, there is no favouratism on this site. You do not need to feel threatened because someone asks you not to make assumptions about their beliefs and make them a laughing stock among your crowd. Rather, you should take that as reassurance that things are happening on this site to keep everything in order. There is nothing wrong with members of this forum, like everywhere else, abiding by and adhering to basic forum rules that are repeated time and time again to the same members. Your contributions, like I have said before, are more than welcome and are always worthy a read, however, you tend to step out of line sometimes which is unacceptable. Approach someone the way you want to be approached, simple.

Your presence and contributions on this site are always welcome.

            Masseda,

Salamoona yara, it is a minor thing bro. It is ok, nothing to take to heart too serious. The lady felt offended somehow and you should just clarify yourself, I am sure Qrattugay the intelligent that she is, will understand. Let them do their job and moderating, we are all a family in here. I enjoy this place b/c of you and some other ppl.. Some khalq ba khushala see che ta ghondi saray da forum prejzhde! Just chill and have fun saraya. Hets cheri ba nazee, feel at home.

I am still a normal member, nothing makes me different or better than any of you. And the attitude, I doubt it is new. Dig my old posts, you will find the same thing. Have you not realised why Dino Khan calls me his lecture hall ... ?

I know nothing of the events that are leading to this farewell note, however, as the "presiding" male member of the Moderator team, let me share a thought.

Many of us take pride in how as Pashtoons we naturally rise to protect our female members. I'm not talking about the modern political rights or wrongs of this. That's something else. But in saying that we are Nar Pakhtoon, are we being selective?

The question is, is it a possibility that some of us are talking to our female members on this forum in a way that you ordinarily wouldn't tolerate others to do? If so, then it is time to reflect, know that in some of the things we say there is sharam and haya attached and just for a minute, hold the thought in our head, before we type it and press send.

And how much sharm and hayah do your female moderators have for posting lies against companions of the prophet saw? Or supporting homosexuality?

I Think when moderators are chosen, they should not be one sided, qurratgai has shown herself as somebody who takes one side, and thats the side of westernism, i remember we made a thread about americans, and she attacked me and sanger by saying pashtuns are this and that and that Americans are good and an advanced people, in other words, she stated pashtuns are no good and americans are good.

You're clearly targeting one person here.

Put it this way. The Internet is an open forum, most members here live in Western countries where this kind of thing is shoved down their throats. Not for a second, can I begin to imagine that people are not affected when that is the culture in which they are immersed.

People like me, are hardly a walking advertisement for 'Western' values - I'm quite a traditionalist - and yet, some of the most "westernised" Pashtoons here think Tor_Khan is actually, not too bad. I might not like their position one single bit, but on this forum there are many who want to connect to their roots and the wider community and I think we should give them a chance.

Some topics flare up, and die down very quickly, and some topics can be shaped by what we add to them. Sangar Wrora, sharm au hayah sirf pa jaba na wee au na pa Klashinkov culture kee. Pa stargu kee, pa leek kee, pa khyal, pa sochuna kee hom wee.

I find it surprising that a couple of years at (western) universities suddenly turns folk into experts on Islam, politics and Pashtooniyat. Everybody wants change in the Pashtoon homelands - and before we think we've figured out the solutions, we should go and ask the people who live there what they think. The world is laughing at us and personally, I find all the dramatic exits on this forum embarrassing ... another Pashtoon goes down ... great entertainment value for anyone watching how we behave.

There's a massive disconnect that starts with those very qualities that to me - make a complete non-Pashtoon into a Pashtoon. Living in comfortable western surroundings, do we learn so little from our elders that we can't put anything they taught us to any good use? Things, like respect for the people around you, listening to an alternative point of view* and knowing that not every point of difference you have with a person ends in a duzz-duzz shoot-out. What kind of Pashtoonwali is this that we claim to be defending?

*think how matter are talked through in our traditional jirgas

Anyone disagree with a Moderator? Fine. We're human. You're welcome to pick up the disagreement and work through it with the Moderator - invite in another Moderator if need be.

But more than that, if you wish to challenge your fellow Pashtoons (mostly western Pashtoons here), use your skills of persuasive argument. Ghairatmand Pukhtoon agha wee chi da na khpal zaan spakawee, na bal cha.

But this Pakhtoon character of some moderators needs to be challenged. Pakhtun culture and Pakhtuns as a whole are very different than Westerners

Actually, those were not threats. Lemme explain what happened.

I sent a message to the Admin with a couple of complaints, and he advised that I be mature about it and discuss it with the members themselves instead of making a big deal about it and making it personal.

And I took his advice, for which I thank him again and again. We have a great admin here, and we should try to take advantage of his leadership skills and learn something from him; he has a lot to offer us and our nation! Bless him for that.

Anyway, so I messaged you (MakeenMaseed) and another member about whose posts I felt uncomfortable, and both of you felt offended by my messages! I fail to understand why when, to both of you, I sent a second message a few minutes later in which I clearly stated that if I'd said anything offensive to you, then I apologize and that we're brothers and sisters here and disagreements occur among sisters and brothers - still, nothing takes the respect we might have for each other at the end of the day. Was I wrong?

So, really, all I asked you was to stop assuming that I'm a lesbian. And then I said my stance of homosexuality remains the same: Regardless of what I think of homosexuals, it won't affect you, me, or them, so why bother wasting my breath?

I'm not exactly sure what you found threatening in either of my messages to you, a total of two. However, I'm sorry that you did. Oh, wait, the threat may have been in the first message where I said that if I or another continues feeling disrespected by you even after I've asked you nicely to be a bit more civil, then the moderators will be left with no choice but to ban you.

I don't think you should leave; I don't think anyone should leave just because they've a problem with someone else. What? Is this what adults do? Is this what leaders do? Are you going to just quit every time you come across a person you've got issues with instead of handling them more maturely? Whatever happened to using communications as the best means to solving problems? C'mon, folks.
