Hindus were slaughtered, raped, and forced to convert to islam by the hands of muslim invaders.

But i heard tipu sultan was very tolerant muslim ruler. I have watched an indian drama "sword of tipu sultan" in which he was depicted in very good way.

Please tell me about Tipus Sultan (Tiger of Mysore). I have heard he was a Pashtun, but I am not sure.

Baygham, there is no proof of that. And there are no known Pashtun communities (Indianized ones) in Southern India, the region where Tipu and his father Hyder were from. Many historians state that Hyder's ancestors could have been Muslim nobles that came into the sub-continent with other Central Asian armies. But then again, he could have been a Hindu convert as well; as indicated by his family's not so-high social status.

One suggestion, dont go picking wars with every Pakistani here, and there are many here. This is a forum predominantly about Pashtuns and Pashtun affairs. We should try and avoid bringing our feuds and and turning threads into Indo-Pak wars. To this forum, we Indians are like spices in a mutton biryani, accentuate and add to the flavor but dont drown out the succulent meat and rice.
