Thank you all for the nice welcome. I am from Florida. From looking around I am a little surprised to see Hindu, agnostic and atheists here. I thought all Pashtuns are Muslim. Anyway nice to meet you all

99.9% of pashtoons are muslims and I have never seen a christian,Hindu,jewish pashtun in my life.. i hope it is the way i am thinking and i have been seeing..
Some do convert in Afghanistan like that dude who for just wanted to get rid of Afghanistan and go to europe.
We have christians,hinduz living in Afghanistan. We respect all the religions caz our Book the holy Quran says ( Lakum dinukum wal ya din) [ To you your religion and to me My religion]Comment

She is preaching her religion, and it is her exclusive right. If we wish that we should preach islam, then all human beings from any religions have the same right.Comment

Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
