Hello All.
My name is Mr Logar. Let me tell you guys a little of my journey to get here.
I unfortunately don't know Pashto (only English and spoken Farsi
) but thought that perhaps this forum and its awesome members would be a good start in me learning some. I have travelled to Afghanistan in the past and it was very awkward when all my family speak Pashto and I am the only one sitting quietly because I don't know a word!
So I am at that age where parents and aunties (khalas) etc. pester you to marry. Eventually they found someone...Trouble is they speak pashto....
So here I am, sad that it took me so long to get motivated to learn, but hey we all have to start somewhere!!
I bought a book titled "Speaking Afghan Pashto" by Randall Olson and also found the MP3 files on this forum! Although that is a start I have no one to practice the language with.
Anyhow that is my story, what is yours?
Nice to meet you guys and look forward to talking with you!
MR LOGAR.
