a lot of votes are forced votes, they threaten people if you dont vote for them, infact these recent elections completely exposed them, of how they work and collect their votes.

But of course then there are nationalistic mohajirs who blindly vote for them also. The problem with pakistan is that everybody watches for their own kind, for example why did punjabis vote for Nawaz Sharif, despite Imran Khan gathering so much crowd. It's all about ethnic based politics in Pakistan, this is why the country is in such a bad shape

also the biggest support that MQM gets is from the poorer areas of Karachi, where basically it is the street gang culture. The areas around Clifton, defense and other wealthier areas hardly vote for these idiots
