Then I deff know a few of your relatives.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

    -Ferishta, 1560–1620

Small world. If the names Wakil Hafizullah and Pashtun folkloric writer Aziz Amarkhel are known to you also, then it is a very small world.

                        Dear honorable Dr. Miraki,

For the last decade, we have been demonized in the world media, and even when lies and distortions are pointed out- in the case of Bibi Aisha, the lies continue.

CNN is directly lying now as it was already confirmed that the story of Aisha Bibi had nothing to do with the conflict going on between the Afghan insurgency and the US. However, it appears they are bent on spreading lies and distortions to demonize Pashtuns at whatever chance they get.

Can legal action be taken when such a news organization is involved in blatant lies? Please let us know. I am getting in touch with Noam Chomsky about this too.

Aesha's story of torture by the Taliban made her the iconic face of the oppression of women in Afghanistan. And the world reached out to help. But the fairy-tale ending everyone hoped for has proven elusive. In this exclusive report, CNNs Jessica Ravitz documents the inspiring -- and beguiling -- Aesha and her nearly two-year quest for surgery, stability and a sense of belonging.

The CNN article about Aisha Bibi is full of lies- clear lies.

If you read the article, they make it clear that they are attaching statements to her, and also they try to portray her as someone with a child mentality.

It is very disgusting what they are doing by spinning this story, and breaks the foundations of journalistic integrity which all media sources claim to remain true to.

It is the behavior of one individual not the movement

                            Salaamuna Grano Khuaindo aw Wruno,

Let me give a small perspective about the tragedy of Aisha Bibi. The Tragedy of Aisha Bibi was one pertaining to the behavior of her husband and her cruel in-laws. Perhaps the husband was a member of Taliban, it does not make it a Taliban issue. Meanwhile, since the Western media is using that issue to justify the invasion of Afghanistan based on that one crime, lets rationalize it: If some is killed or tortured in a city, would be acceptable to go ahead and bomb the entire city? Furthermore, in the world, there are issues of national sovereignty and you need to take that into account. For example, according to FBI statistics, a woman is violated in various forms every 3-4 minutes in the USA; now, since these violations include rape and other demonic behaviors, would be acceptable to the Americans if the Chinese invaded the USA and gave them the justifications that they invaded USA because women rights were violated. NO. Because every country has its own ways of dealing with their own tragedies.

As to the issue of taking legal action, yes indeed, legal action could be taken against CNN and other outlets. But unfortunately, Pashtuns, who are wealthy, appears to be fixated on their own wealth and do not wish to contribute to national honor. That is most wealthy Pashtuns, not all, of course. To file a legal action, it has significant expense, if that is covered then yes.

                              Salaamona Dr. Miraki saib,

It is true that they are using this incident to justify to the American and European publics who are not interested in supporting this war anymore.

In regards to the wealthy expatriates, Afghanistan and the war for them was only seen as a way to make money from contracts and what not. Im afraid their actions will result in a lengthy and justified resentment of all Pashtun expatriates (even those) who wish to invest honestly in Afghanistan in the future. Karzai and his family are symbolic of this.

Pashtuns need to be politically organized world wide. I compare the current circumstances to the situation the Jews faced in the Holocaust. As a result of the Holocaust, they came out more politically organized, united, and powerful due to having no other option. This is not to say that Zionists are doing good things which they are not, but objectively one can see how their unity evolved out of no other option since the Jews in Europe were being sent to gas chambers.

For Pashtuns, I am glad people like you are becoming more active in speaking out against what is going on as well as helping in supporting the education of many children.

If a group of lawyers can be gathered from some human rights groups, or organizations such as Reprieve, I think having these stories checked is possible. Its not a minor issue for a major media network to parrot a distortion when other media sources have publicly disproven it.

The issue is not that American and British human rights group are not taking action on issue of the airstrikes, night raids, and drone attacks, its that their actions are being ignored by the respective governments. Hence, the only way is legal action. Some groups have already taken legal actions in various courts (I know something happened in the UK recently), but more is necessary I think.

An example would be the Soros Open Society which published a report about the thousands of civilians killed in night raids. These groups are good resources for research and possibly even as sources to provide the groundwork for legal action when necessary.

                              Allah pa amaan
