Iskader Khan,
Why do the Greek people blame Germany for most of their current economical problems?
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.
A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
Iskader Khan,
Why do the Greek people blame Germany for most of their current economical problems?
Hmm... this is a complicated subject too.
Well, the main matter is that Germany has a leader position in the EU and presses a lot for the economic masses
that have to be taken for Greece, so a lot of people have antigermanic feelings cause of this matter.
But i am not agree with these feelings, as the money and them carriers who rule the world (the bankers) have no land either national feelings.
So the leader of the present germanic state is just a pawn, as most of the leaders of Europe are(and not only in Europe of course). It has not to
do strickly with Germany i mean if someone thinks seriously about this matter.
Also, even if i am not Afghan and not well informed and aware as you of course about the matters of your country, as i have in mind,
i think that your present government too is a puppet of Americans in the service of foreign imperialists and not in the service of Afghan people.
do greek citizens have beef with turkey or is that just a political thing between governments?
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

For the first, excuse me fo the question, I never met a Greek Muslim from Greece.
I have met Muslims from Komotini, but as I understood they seem to have Turkish roots(as they had Turkish surnames and spoke Turkish as their native language). Also I knew some Greeks from Georgia, saying that tey are Muslims, but for sure they ddn't know even much about Islam(at least those people who I met, what is surely due to the general post-Sovietic loose of memory and knowledge among the people of ths region).
About the name, You are right, it is quiet close to Alekos. Some even call me Aleq.
About our relations - well I think You are surely right about the general relations between Greece and Armenia - today they are perhaps mor based on religious and some historical motives(mostly due to the probems with Turkey).
Me personally, I have been several times in Greece, some times for short periods and one time for exchange for 7 month, during that time I learned a bit Greek at the University of Thessaloniki.
Me, I am not Muslim neither Christian, but a follower of the traditional belief way of Armenians. As we are few, You perhaps do not know about us.
However there is a not small Muslim comunity among Armenians living in Turkey(arround cities like Hopa, Rize, Kemalpasha, Hemshin, Ordu), they are called Hamshen Armenians and migrated to that area from the area close to the Urmia lake in nowdays Iran with their gruler of Amatuni noble family.
Generally I found to have good relations with Greeks any place we met, also my Afghan friends I think established themselves almost good in Greece and had good relations with the people. For me personally we have quiet a number of culture that makes us close, perhaps even due to the ancient contacts between our nations.
With best wishes for You, Aliq

When it comes to history there is a hatred because Greece was under Ottoman-turkish rule about 400 till 500
years in some regions and there have been a lot of conflicts and wars in the past between Greeks and Turks.
Also there is the religious matter, Greeks are christians and do not liked Turks and for religious reasons too.
As about now, there exist some matters with Turkey but have to do more with governments, even if in some level people of both nations are emotionally involved.
As for people generally talking they do not feel hate for each other, they feel somekind friendly towards each other i could say from my personal experience.

χεχε, όντως δεν είναι ευγενικό να μιλάμε σε ξένη γλώσσα για τους συμφορουμίτες μας σε αλλεπάλληλα μηνύματα.Οπότε σου απαντώ και εγώ στα αγγλικά:
As about your question for my origin there is absolutely no problem my friend, of course it is somekind curious to be a Greek muslim and not from Thrace,
and of course it was normal to suppose that i maybe be of turkish origin or something like that, i was not offended by your question.
And as about your greek language for such a little period staying in Greece i dare to say that it is pretty good! Well done Aliq! May i ask you if i am not so curious what
kind of studies do you do( or you have done)? Philosophical studies maybe i suppose, if you have gone to Aristotelion university of Thessaloniki for your exchange program.
About the matter your religion i find it interesting. I think that i know what you mean, we have people in Greece who are traditionalists too and they follow the traditional
way of the ancient Greeks in terms of religion and thinking, (i use the term "traditionalist" because maybe the term "pagan" do not express you completely)and i have friends
too that are Greek traditionalists.
If you wanna tell me more things about this i would hear you carefully and with interest as i have studied a lot
old indoeuropean traditions but about armenian i have checked only some things through the internet.
And yes, greek and armenian nation are two dinstict and relative the same way indoeuropean nations very old and with rich history, both of them. But still even if most of
our people do not know it somehow the spirit of them race talks to them, if you get the meaning. even if this is being translating by means of religion in our modern era or in
a spirit of mutual contrast to Turkey.
Thanks a lot for your interest and for the usefull info about Armenian's muslims and Greek muslims of Georgia too.

Hello again my friend! Feel free to ask anything! I have studied at the school of Pharmacy at the Aristotelion and did also some practical work at the ATEI.

I have heard about that! I have a Kalash friend in Greece, he told me that there are such people, but I never met them, I suppose that they are few. Also I have only little immaginaion on what are the basics of the Greek traditional belief.
If you wan
na tell me more things about this i would hear you carefully and with interest as i have studied a lot old indoeuropean traditions but about armenian i have checked only some things through the internet.
Well perhaps the best is if You ask simply and I answer Your questions. Generally our belief is quiet close to the pre-Zoroastrian belief of Iranic people. Or perhaps even to some teachings of Zarathushtra in early times - but is quiet opposed to the "official Zoroastrism" of Persian kings.
We have no holy scriptures but oral traditions, that are based mostly on histories. These histories are examples on how possible ways of being rghtfull in different situation is! Some people(specially Christians) see that as idolatry and polytheism, even if it is ot that way(also in some times some kings did try to idolify our beliefs, what at least my people strictly distance from).
It is quiet far from dogmatic rules and also does no conversion of others.
We have festivals, mainly related to natural events. We have also no "church" or similar organisation, even if there were spiritual teachers in not far past. As we are few, however we are self organised mostly in our families.
Thanks a lot for your interest and for the usefull info about Armenian's muslims and Greek muslims of Georgia too.
If I may also ask You dear Alex! Does the greek Muslim community have a long tradition? What time arround did You convert to Islam?
That is all for te moment my friend - feel free to ask anything, and please to not be angry if I answer very late - I am busy sometimes!

Hello welcome to the forum. I have sort of an affinity with Greek people, I reside in an area where there's a lot of them, most of my friends are from there. And I went to a school where most of my teachers were Greek. They're friendly folk!
