  • Hello from Greece

Hello to all the members of the forum.
I am from Greece and i am a Greek muslim, interested a lot in the history, culture and language of the proud people of Afghanistan, the Pashtuns!
I hope to learn a lot of new and usefull things in this forum.

I also have to mention that in some mountain regions of my country we have some ethics almost the same
as you have in the Pashtunwali, probably due to the common patriarchical-warlike background of these tribes.

    Greetings!

According to wiki you are only 1.4 million of Greek Muslims.

How do you feel among Orthodoxs ? Are you discriminated ?

Also how's the revolution doing in Greece ? Do you take part in the riots ?

As for the number of Greek muslims the number of the wiki is not exact as we are much less than 1.4 million people.Maybe near about this number we are if we add the number of immigrants that have came to Greece during last years, because most of them come from islamic countries.

As for the feeling among Orthodox...
Greek people even if not very religious the latest years in practising, they still have strong religious feelings(generally talking) for Orthodox religion, so they do not sympathize muslims, if a Greek says that is muslim the question follows is "Are you a Turk"? And this because they have identified the faith of Islam in Greece with the Ottoman period of conquest of Greece.
Except this kind of empathy a real discrimination do not exist, but this empathy is still really annoying.

As about the situation in Greece riots have became more rare this period, due to the coming of the elections on 6th May (the day after tomorrow). The political situation is really complex, as the governors we have now have led for truth Greece to destruction but and the political powers that oppose the governors have not something really realistic to present for a gateway from this situation and of course some of them, they want just to take on power and not to solve the problem of greek people, if they are gonna govern they are gonna be (most of them) at least the same with the present governors, if not worst.

welcome to the forum, let us learn from each other!
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

                    Welcome aboard.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

This was an exit poll... in the final results Golden Dawn(the nationalist movement) got 7%. In such a period of economic, social and generally national crisis when governments turn them back to people then people choose for them other powers which either are either pretend to be by the side of people. This is a natural procedure, so either the governors have to take on seriously the critical situation in Greece, either they are gonna give up and new powers are gonna come in the politics.

The so called "socialist" party of Greece(PASOK) which signed for the disasterous economic masses towards greek people has taken in these elections around 14% while in the previous elections around 44% .
Golden dawn has taken in previous elections 0.29%(while now 7%) and the second party now which is SYRIZA(a left ideology organization) has taken in elections of 2009 4.60%, while now 17%.

You can imagine by these statistics how angry feel the greek people...
