  • Hello all

I am not Pashtun, however served overseas in Afghanistan and would like to learn more about Islam and the Pashtun people. I am also looking to learn more about the Pashtun writing script. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Are you a physician, then?
Is cbt a certain type ?

People here will be very glad to help you.

It's nice that you show interest.
Few Americans care at all to learn more.

I could be wrong but I'm going to go out on a whim here and guess that cbt stands for Canadian Born [Something starting with T (Tamil, Taiwanese, Trinidadian, etc.)].

That or cognitive behavioral therapy lol.

      Welcome to the forums cbtdoc2002.

                Welcome to the forums.
"Do not lose hope in adversity and complain that God singled you out for punishment, remitting others guilty of worse sins. Your present state could very well be His intent to elevate your spiritual station. Or He could just be testing your faith. Everyday that you persevere, you grow closer to perfection. Thus, your present despair may be the beginning of an infinite blessing". - Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani.

I am sorry for just now getting back on this forum. I had accidentally lost the forums address.

I was a Combat Medic in the U.S. Army. I treated US Soldiers, Afghan National Army soldiers and militia, and Afghan civilians while on my tour of duty in 2002. Before I was a combat medic, I was a Paramedic back here in the states.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I wasn't sure what kind of reception I would receive here, being that I was a U.S. soldier.

I am both for and against it. If that makes any sence. I believe that we are doing good there by building schools etc. however i am against combat operations going on any longer since. Bin Laden was killed and AQda is no longer a threat and doesnt find sanctuary in Afghanistan any more. I aam agaainst how the taliban treat females, but, i believe that its not the U.S.'s place to say what goes on in a different country.

I am against how the west treat females. I am against swinger clubs, pornography, prostitution, the abusive use of naked women images in commercials. Does that mean i can come to the USA and kill your children, your wives and the people who will resist to my invasion for the next 10 years ?

Did you killed a man whan you were engaged ?

I too am against swinger clubs, pornography, and all that. As a married male, I believe that 1) My wife's body is all that I need to look at, 2) Only I should be allowed to look at my wife's body. And if and when she divorces me, she will be committing adultery because no man can break up something that God has blessed and made such as marriage.

Now for your next question, not that it is any of your business, but No I did not kill anyone. I was a medic. I saved lives. Both American and Afghan.

I did not come onto this forum to argue. I am here to learn Pushtu, and about the religion of Islam.

Oh and one last thing, I never said whether or it was right or wrong to go into Afghanistan.
