I am intrigued by this quote of Babur's from 1525, where he mentions 11 or 12 languages spoken in Kabul. I am wondering what happened to some of these other languages. Were they just conquered by Dari and/or Pashto eventually?
Like, Arabic, Persian, Tūrki, Moghuli, Hindi, Afghani (Pashto), Pashāi, Geberi (probably old Nuristani), and Bereki (Burki/Urmuri) seem pretty straight forward but what were Parāchi and Lamghāni, and who do you think they were spoken by?
