Yes i have spent much "wakht" in tabligh. I support tablighi movement.

I use to be with tablighis. I went for 3days in a tablighi mosque in UK. And I have attended a lecture by Tariq Jameel. It was very nice.

I liked it allot. But I left Tablighi Jama'ah. because they do not really focus on studying Islam. The knowledge of average tablighi is very superficial. I use to be very ignorant and I didn't knew anything about Islam. So they would teach me from this book, Fazayel Amal. But the book was in Urdu and the stuff they would read out from the book didn't make much sense to me.

Now I have entered Jama'ah Ahlul Hadith. Here it is all about studying studying studying. And once you have asquired sufficient knowledge, you can then do dawah to other people and do tableeqh in accordance with quran and sunnah.

This was not the case with Jam'ah Tableegh. There, people who were ignorant, like myself would go out to knock on people's doors to invite them to Islam. This was absurd. because my own understanding of Islam was insufficient in order to be able to convey the message properly. I was told to memorize a few sentences and repeat it at every doorstep. I never did that.

I respect Islam a lot. But Islam is a new religion. many new Religions have started. The first Religion was mine Hinduism.

You are right.Hinduism is the world's oldest living religion.The Rigveda was compiled around 4000BCE.
Islam is only 1400 years old.

Sangar i agree with you about your observations about tablighi jamat. Though nowadays it is very popular and widespread in pakhtunkhwa.
I go frequently for sehroza and ashra to refresh and upgrade my islamic spirtuality

But we where very respected. Today we have a thousand Kakars here in our temple who are all proud Afghans.

Gulalai I follow Pashtunwali. I do attan. just because I am not a Muslim which is new concept for Pashtuns I am not Pashtun anymore?

pashtuns were not muslims before.

But allah has given us honor by allowing us to enter into the true religion.

The history of pashtuns peaked after we became muslims. Pashtun expansion, conquest, cultural and political development came in the period after we became Muslims. Before Islam, pashtuns were very insignificant.

According to sayings of prophet muhammad saww, the army of Mahdi, the great warrior who is going to liberate Muslim lands from opressors will rise from Afghanistan.

many Muslims believe the time is coming very soon.

Even dough I left tableeghi jama'ah, I love the movement allot. They have done allot of good work for Muslims across the world. They have some issues they need to correct. But all Muslim groups and movements have their own issues and problems.

I wish to see Jama'ah tableegh to merge with jama'ah ahlul hadeeth. It would be a great thing. Both have so many things that complement one another.

both. I am from city. In the city of Kandahar we have an area called Hindu chowk.

Then may be you people are old inhabitants of kandahar as village people are always original to the region.

i read in a history book that ahmad shah brought many hindus to kandahar from india after panipat war. i was thinking/assuming from that angle

From your posts and enthusiasm, you are a proud Pashtun/Afghan undoubtedly.Some here call themslves proud Muslim Pashtuns, but their goals are not never intended at the betterment of Pashtuns but just to create hatred and divisons amongst Pashtuns. They are not Pashtuns in my opinion.
Our forefathers could have been Hindus, Jews, Buddhist, or simply humans before accepting Islam.

no. those are not Pashtuns but they are Punjabis and we also have that. but I am Pashtun from Kakar tribe. do you know Kakar?

yes, it is a pashtun tribe of balochistan. I rememberd there are hindu temples in balochistan.

I am confused. Why do I have to be a Muslim to go to heaven? or to be a good person? I am honest, sincere and a proud Hindu and cultural Muslim.

Well, if you believe in any other god, or if you associate partners to god, then no. You wont go to paradise. But hell.

But if you soleley believe in god, accept muhammad as his final messenger, and quran is the last book of revelations, then you make a slight chance of going to paradise. Not heaven.

Heaven is something in Christian belief. In Islam we believe in paradise, al jannah, the garden.

That is own problem. We should only act as good muslim to convert someone not by telling that he is less or more pashtun.

Hindus in afghanistan from india few hundreds years ago. They are now respectful citizens of afghanstan (and are afghans) but they are not pashtuns. You have to be pashtun by blood in addition to speaking pashto.

I think you are a century late.

Hindupastun, you are a proud Kandahari Pashtun.
Probably the only place left in Pakistan where hindus and sikhs are highly respected is Swat and perhaps Buner also. Out of respect, here we call them Lala or Seit.

I dont beleive that any Pashtun should be attached to any Faith. Islam makes one Loyal to Arabs, Hindusim Makes one Loyal to India. One can not dismiss Relgion and Politics. As for Afghanistan being 99 percent Hindu at one time is abit non sense. Pashtun tribes had their own Pagan customs and relgionous traits.
